  • Patent number: 9261599
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for updating the universal time within a GPS enable device in real-time and utilizing that corrected time to improve upon pseudorange calculations in the GPS devices. A time shim is introduced to correct outlier time values and provide improved pseudorange calculations to the device operating system, as well as draw upon various predictive smoothing methods of timestamp and position data to improve GPS location values. The improved GPS data is then provided to a location services process running on the device in an expected format and timing such that the operating system is unaware that the prior application interface of the system has been circumvented.

  • Patent number: 9258982
Abstract: A dog collar for the remote control and confinement of a dog or other suitable animal to selected geographical boundary. The system uses a series of audible cues or electrical shocks to motivate the dog to move away from an approaching preselected boundary while continually monitoring the current GPS location of the dog and recording those positions. A user interface allows for a user to program a boundary into the dog collar.

  • Patent number: 9146105
Abstract: The current invention is a system and method for certifying GPS locations on a land tract using consumer devices having standard GPS chipsets. The system takes a plurality of readings from at least four satellites into one or more sample sets. A smoothing function is used to remove outlier GPS values and a circular plot of spatial positions made. A center location of the plot is then calculated and recorded. The process is repeated and then compared to the first center calculation. If the difference is less than a predetermined certification value, the position can be certified as accurate. Various features in a land tract can be certified to the predetermined accuracy. For example, using the process to certify or correct errors in a shapefile representing the land tract, physical markers placed on the land tract, or environmental features of a land tract to lessen environmental impact during development.

  • Publication number: 20150107531
Abstract: A system and method for remote guidance of a dog or other suitable animal to and from a selected location using GPS related triangulation methods. The system using a series of audible cues or electrical shocks to guide the dog from a current location to a target location by continually monitoring the current GPS location of the dog and establishing a waypoint target for the animal as it moves. The system issues cues such as audible signals to control the dog and keep it confined within a suitable corridor so that the next waypoint may be attained. Using the invention, a dog owner can control the movement of the dog as the owner moves in its proximity, thereby creating an invisible tether or “virtual leash” or to the animal.

  • Patent number: 8934923
Abstract: A system and method provides for the real-time geo-position monitoring of a handheld device and the continual calculation of its relational position with respect to the boundary of a tract of land in which the device is situated. The invention utilizes existing geo-positioning systems within mobile devices and a software application to compare the position of the device, and thereby its user, with the boundary of a track of land having its geo-position attributes uploaded into or accessed by the device. Audible and visual cues are presented to a user to allow them to know their current position relative to a land tract's boundary or predefined buffer zone adjacent to the tract's boundary. The system accommodates the access and uploading of geo-position information of a tract of land and the recordation of movements with respect to the boundaries of the tract of land in a remote database.

  • Publication number: 20140324630
Abstract: The current invention provides systems and methods for requesting all relevant shapefiles or satellite imagery data for a parcel of land from a mobile GIS App and e-commerce web portal. The parcel of land can be designated for request by address, parcel identification, latitude and longitude coordinates, or geolocation data determined by a GPS chip set or other means resident on a handheld mobile device. The system includes a cloud computing environment for processing and storing all requested shapefiles and work flow process shapefiles. The system processing of relevant shapefiles includes rendering the shapefile for portability to multiple smart technology mobile device operating systems. In another aspect, systems and methods are described for creating and delivering concatenated shapefiles from two or more shapefiles to a mobile GIS App and e-commerce web portal.
