  • Publication number: 20230032509
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding animals includes a hopper to store animal feed and a motor-driven spinner beneath the hopper, that radially spreads feed dropping from an opening in a bottom of the hopper. A timer control unit provides timer control of the motor, and includes an antenna that receives signals from a remote controller for remotely initiating a feed dispersal event and for remotely turning on a light on the feeder to selected levels of brightness including turning the light off. The apparatus may include a distribution adapter that has a first position, in which feed from the spinner is broadcast outwardly to an area surrounding the apparatus, and a second position, in which feed from the spinner is deflected downward to be distributed into troughs associated with the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20180332819
Abstract: An animal feeder comprises an animal feeder, recessed lighting strips, a recessed solar panel, and a control unit. The animal feeder comprises a lid, a cage member, and four legs. The lid seals the animal feeder and the cage member is positioned below the animal feeder. The four legs support the animal feeder. The recessed lighting strips are detachably attached to predetermined sections of the animal feeder. The recessed solar panel is mounted within a sidewall of the animal feeder. The recessed solar panel is positioned at an inclination for receiving sunlight. The sidewall is further configured to prevent exposure of the solar panel to free falling objects. The recessed solar panel powers a rechargeable battery in the control unit, which is positioned on an inner surface of the animal feeder for powering the recessed lighting strips and actuates a supply port for dispensing feed at the predefined intervals. All wiring connections are unexposed to prevent damage.

  • Patent number: 7984789
Abstract: An observation stand. In one non-limiting embodiment the observation stand includes a support base, a seat, a platform, and a safety-framework. The support base defines opposite top and bottom ends and first, second and third legs configured in a tripod arrangement. The legs each define an upper end and a bottom end. The seat is attached to, and hence supported by, the upper end of each leg. The platform comprises first, second and third slots. The slots are arranged to respectively accommodate the upper ends of the first, second and third legs. The platform is located proximate to the top end of the support base and below the seat. The platform defines a perimeter. The safety-framework is attached to the perimeter, and helps prevent a user from falling off the platform. An optional ground spike can be fitted to one or more of the legs.

  • Publication number: 20080237415
Abstract: A hoist apparatus. The hoist apparatus includes a head plate having a top and bottom surface; a pulley system attached to the top surface of the head plate; a first sleeve, a second sleeve and a third sleeve; a plurality of legs comprising a first leg, a second leg and a third leg, whereupon assembly of the hoist apparatus the legs form a tripod; a winch; and a flexible line. The winch is attached to one of the legs such that upon assembly of the hoist apparatus, the winch points outwards from the tripod and is aligned with the pulley system. In one embodiment of the invention, the head plate, pulley system, and the sleeves are integrated to provide a single integral top section. In another embodiment, the hoist apparatus is provided in kit form and includes a top section, legs, winch, and line.
