    Abstract: A load distribution device that distributes load of a target server is provided. The load distribution device includes a load detection unit that monitors a load amount of the target server and determines whether the load amount exceeds a predetermined critical value, a server driving unit that drives a replication server when the load amount exceeds the critical value, and a server control unit that distributes part of load to the replication server when the replication server has started to be driven. The replication server is implemented by a cloud computing technique.

    Abstract: A system for determining a correct resistor key value for a vehicle equipped with a theft deterrent system includes a test key having two electrical contacts positioned to engage respective contacts of a vehicle theft deterrent system when the test key is inserted into a vehicle ignition key receptacle, and a scanner connected to the electrical contacts of the test key. The scanner includes a controller configured to sequentially apply a series of discrete, fixed electrical resistance values across the key contacts while the key is inserted in the receptacle, to determine which resistance value corresponds to a resistance value required to activate the ignition.

    Abstract: The invention provides the ability to upgrade or update a remotely controlled system without removal or replacement of the existing remote control receiver. A preferred embodiment utilizes all or part of the existing wireless remote control in a wireless remote adapter cartridge that electrically and/or mechanically actuates the existing remote control. The wireless remote adapter cartridge is actuated by a wireless receiver that receives commands from a wireless user remote control. In one embodiment, the invention permits one wireless user remote control to control several disparate remotely controlled systems.

A server architecture includes multiple instances of the multi-server system, interconnected via at least one external network port of each. The server architecture includes external network switching circuitry for selectively facilitating data transmission among the multi-server systems and an external server external to the server architecture.
