  • Publication number: 20030121695
Abstract: An electrical cable having a plurality of twisted pairs of conductors therein and a corrugated tape member that separates and maintains spacing of said twisted pairs from adjacent twisted pairs. The corrugated tape member is preferably comprised of a dielectric material and said corrugation may be longitudinal or across the width of said tape member. The corrugated tape member permits the use of a thinner mil tape while achieving sufficient spacing between the twisted pairs and maintaining cable flexibility so as to significantly improve crosstalk and reduce manufacturing costs and difficulties associated with thicker mil flat tape or fluting.
