    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for reducing audio truncation during a call in a trunked radio system. The method includes the steps of providing a multicast IP address of a rendezvous point to a first participant of the call to forward multicast audio of the call to a second participant of the call and using a dummy host to add an IP address for the second participant to the multicast IP address of the rendezvous point.
