  • Patent number: 4945694
Abstract: A composite building module is provided formed of a cured cement matrix containing one or more prestressed metal wire meshes. Discrete foamed members are formed on the wire mesh at spaced apart locations laong the length of the wire mesh.

  • Patent number: 4827614
Abstract: A double safety lock and quick release tool and tool holder assembly comprising a locking portion in the tool holder including two apertures and a matching locking mechanism in the handle of the tool. The locking mechanism including a pair of springs, each spring having a locking pin at one end and being fastened at the other end within the handle of the tool, the two locking pins protruding above the surface of the tool handle and tightly fitting within the two apertures of the tool holder. The locking mechanism also including two activators, each activator having a portion extending outside the tool handle and a portion within the tool handle resting on one of the springs. When the activators are pushed, the springs are forced downward, resulting in the locking pins being moved downward from the surface of the tool handle and out of the apertures of the tool holder, thereby releasing the tool from the tool holder.

  • Patent number: 4808306
Abstract: A magnetic force field generator is provided which is adapted to be mounted onto a conduit for treating fluid flowing through the conduit with a magnetic force field of alternating polarity. The generator includes a non-magnetic housing having a longitudinally extending passage for receiving the conduit and a strap device for securing the housing to the conduit. A unitary magnet is provided which is embedded in the housing and is positioned in the same longitudinal plane as the conduit. The magnet has an odd number of sections of alternating polarity, each adapted to generate a discrete magnetic force field in the conduit as the fluid flows therethrough. When the fluid is a fuel, it is preferred that the most upstream section and the most downstream section of the magnet be each adapted to introduce a south polar magnetic field in the inner area of said conduit.

  • Patent number: 4755288
Abstract: A system for monitoring one or more factors relating to the strength of a magnetic field generated by a magnetic force field generator adapted to treat fluid flowing through a conduit. Sensors detect and respond to any change in the factor monitored and actuate means to effect a reversal of such change for maintaining the strength of the magnetic force field to within allowable limits. The system includes a multi-magnet magnetic field generator which generates a plurality of discrete magnet fields of reverse polarity positioned externally of the conduit for saturating the inner area of the conduit for treating fluid flowing through the conduit.

  • Patent number: 4572145
Abstract: The performance of an engine is improved by forming a magnetic field in a portion of a fuel line leading to the engine and causing fuel to be burned in the engine to traverse and interact with the magnetic field. The magnetic field is formed through use of a magnet which is oriented so that its South pole is adjacent the fuel line and its North pole is spaced apart from the fuel line. The magnet is embedded in a U-shaped body of non-magnetic material which is adopted to fit over the fuel line.

  • Patent number: 4177311
Abstract: A composite fabric comprises a layer of pile-forming material such as a textile bonded to a substrate material by an interlayer of plastics material which is substantially air-free. The interlayer has a density in the range 0.9 to 1.5 gm/cc and the substrate is a slab of deaerated plastics material having a weight up to 6.5 kg/sq. meter (12 lbs/sq. yard) and incorporating a layer of fibrous material such as glass fibre scrim. The pile forming material may be as light as 68 gm/sq. meter (2 oz/sq. yard) and as heavy as 4 kgm/sq. meter (120 oz/sq. yard).

  • Patent number: 4022087
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for blanking products from pliable sheet material where the material to be cut is supported on a planar support member within the peripheral shape of the final product and after the blanking process has been completed a product-discharge roller is moved through an aperture in the supporting surface to lift the cut product clear of the cutting edge and discharge the product from the cutting apparatus. Additionally, the cutting edge has a portion which separates the cut product and its peripheral waste from incoming material and the peripheral waste is positively discharged from the apparatus by a conveyor arrangement located externally of the cutting edge which defines the products peripheral shape.
