  • Publication number: 20230168032
Abstract: Various implementations include a biomass dehydration system including a wet biomass chamber containing wet biomass, a belt or chain defining one or more cavities, two or more pulleys including a drive pulley that the belt or chain extend around and that are configured such that the cavities are disposable within the wet biomass chamber as the belt or chain moves along the pulleys to cause wet biomass to enter the cavities, and a drying chamber for dehydrating wet biomass disposed in the cavities into solid pellets. The drive pulley engages the belt or chain and causes the belt or chain to move around the pulleys. At least a portion of the belt or chain extends from the wet biomass chamber through the drying chamber. One of the pulleys includes one or more ejection protrusions for engaging the cavities and ejecting solid pellets from the cavities.

  • Publication number: 20230065497
Abstract: Various implementations include a combustor system including an inner wall, a fuel grate, an ash grinder, an igniter, and a fan. The inner wall defines a combustion chamber and has a longitudinal axis and first and second ends. The inner wall defines primary and secondary air inlets. The primary air inlets are defined closer than the secondary air inlets to the first end. The fuel grate is disposed within the combustion chamber between the primary and secondary air inlets and is configured to support fuel disposed within the combustion chamber. The ash grinder is disposed between the fuel grate and the secondary air inlets and is rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the fuel grate. The igniter provides energy to the combustion chamber. The fan is configured to cause air to flow from the primary and secondary air inlets through the second end of the combustion chamber.

  • Publication number: 20160076774
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and devices that aid in reducing particulate emissions from biomass stoves, for example by the use of gases injected in or near the oxidation zone of a combustion chamber. Also disclosed are systems and devices providing electricity to a pump or blower that aids in injecting the gas and/or collecting exhaust gases. In some embodiments the device providing electricity is a thermoelectric generator that may also be used to power other devices. In many embodiments, the systems and devices inject a gas at or near the oxidation zone in the combustion chamber of a biomass stove. The gas injected into the zone may be fresh air, exhaust from combustion or combinations thereof. The gas can be forced into the to combustion chamber with the aid of a pump or blower that may also aid in drawing in exhaust gas.

  • Patent number: 5229181
Abstract: A wiper for use in cleanrooms and other controlled environments is made using a knit fabric tube rather than a fabric sheet. The fabric tube is knit with a diameter approximately equal to the preferred wiper dimension and is presented directly to an apparatus for sealing and cutting. A sequence of spaced strips are fused into the fabric tube perpendicular to its length. Individual two ply wipers are separated from one another along a cut line midway in the strips. The wipers are characterized by lower costs due to fewer fabrication steps and a 50% reduction in the number of wiper edges requiring treatment.
