  • Publication number: 20230237290
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a device makes a determination that an asset identification system has been deployed at an organization. The device automatically deploys, based on the determination, a connector for the asset identification system to capture labeling information indicative of transport of one or more physical assets via the organization. The device receives, from the connector, a binding request tag notification indicative of transport of a particular physical asset of the one or more physical assets via the organization. The device associates the binding request tag notification with one or more identifiers for the particular physical asset used by one or more other organizations.

  • Patent number: 10812367
Abstract: In one embodiment, an exploratory linktrace is initiated from an initiating network device with an exploratory linktrace message (ELM) having a target address. Each network device receiving the ELM may then propagate the ELM on a plurality of its ports to a plurality of downstream network devices based on the target address. In addition, each receiving network device returns an exploratory linktrace reply (ELR) for each of the plurality of ports, where each ELR is returned according to one or more mechanisms to mitigate stormed replies to the initiating network device.

  • Patent number: 9955359
Abstract: A location services system used with a wireless LAN network provides wireless LAN Internet access in a venue, and also provides location-based analytics and services. The system monitors the locations of individuals using devices that communicate with a network, and maintain statistics for analytical purposes, and can provide services, such as special promotions and discounts. The system can determine whether a single person is carrying multiple devices, e.g., a user carrying a cellphone (including a smartphone) and a tablet or a laptop; and can also determine whether multiple people are within the venue as a temporary logical group, such as a family or group of friends. These capabilities allow the system to adjust how it communicates with users, and also allows it to adjust the analytics.

  • Patent number: 9119035
Abstract: In one embodiment, an illustrative technique determines when an end-user is within a specified proximity of a client device configured to provide an interface to a virtual machine. In response to the end-user being within the specified proximity of the client device, the technique may then allocate data center resources for the virtual machine.

  • Patent number: 9074477
Abstract: A connector for connecting an impeller to a shaft is provided. The connector is formed as a unitary body. The connector has a sleeve portion which is frictionally connected on a radially outer surface of a shaft-side hub extension of the impeller. The connector further has a threaded portion carrying a thread which screws onto a corresponding threaded portion of the shaft, such that the connector provides a rotationally fixed connection between the impeller and the shaft. The hub extension has a central recess, and a part of the connector is inserted into the recess. The frictional connection between the sleeve portion and the radially outer surface of the hub extension transmits, in use, substantially all of the torque between the shaft and the impeller.

  • Publication number: 20150044047
Abstract: A connector for connecting an impeller to a shaft is provided. The impeller has a shaft-side hub extension with a central recess. The impeller is formed of a material having a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than the material of the shaft. The connector is inserted into the recess to frictionally connect an outwardly facing surface of the connector with a radially inner surface of the hub extension. The connector has a threaded portion carrying a thread which screws onto a corresponding threaded portion of the shaft, such that the connector provides a rotationally fixed connection between the impeller and the shaft. The connector is formed of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion which is greater than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 8441941
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to generate a reference model of a bridged network representing a plurality of nodes in the bridged network, wherein each of the plurality of nodes implements a loop-free topology algorithm; determine an expected data path based on the reference model of the bridged network; receive information pertaining to an actual data path in the bridged network; and compare the expected data path based on the reference model and the actual data path in the bridged network to identify a divergence point.
