Patent number: 8829875Abstract: A controller for use in a power supply includes a drive signal generator, a jitter signal generator, a compensator signal generator, and an arithmetic operator. The drive signal generator is coupled to output a drive signal in response to an input signal. The jitter signal generator is coupled to provide a jitter signal that is representative of a first percentage amount to modulate a switching period of the drive signal. The compensator signal generator is coupled to provide a compensator signal responsive to the jitter signal, where the compensator signal is representative of a second percentage amount to change a duty ratio of the drive signal. The arithmetic operator adjusts the input signal of the controller in response to the compensator signal to provide a compensated input signal, where the duty ratio of the drive signal is adjusted by the second percentage amount in response to the compensated input signal.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2012Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignee: Power Integrations, Inc.Inventor: Andrew John Morrish

Publication number: 20140059907Abstract: A framing system is disclosed to receive an item to be displayed. The system may include a fixing device, a rear support having a substantially planar surface, and one or more fixing elements. The rear support may include an aperture that is configured to receive a fixing device at least partially therethrough. The fixing element may be configured for engagement with a respective fixing device, wherein an item to be displayed is held in place relative to the rear support under magnetic force between a fixing device and fixing element. A method for the non-destructive mounting of an item to be displayed using such a framing system is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Inventors: Mark Morrish, John Morrish
-
Publication number: 20130263487Abstract: A framing system to receive an item to be displayed is disclosed. The framing system may include a transparent front display plate to receive a support. The support may mount to the display plate to form a sleeve in spaced relation to the display plate and to receive the item to be displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2013Publication date: October 10, 2013Inventors: John Morrish, Mark Morrish

Patent number: 8368370Abstract: An example controller for use in a power supply in accordance with the present teachings includes a drive signal generator, a jitter signal generator and a compensator signal generator. The drive signal generator is coupled to output a drive signal having a switching period and a duty ratio to control switching of a switch that is to be coupled to the controller. The jitter signal generator is coupled to provide a jitter signal, where the switching period of the drive signal varies in response to the jitter signal. The compensator signal generator is coupled to provide a compensator signal responsive to the jitter signal, where the duty ratio of the drive signal is varied in response to the compensator signal.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2009Date of Patent: February 5, 2013Assignee: Power Integrations, Inc.Inventor: Andrew John Morrish

Publication number: 20070114789Abstract: A printable laminate, kit and methods for making and modifying the same, the printable laminate comprising a top sheet laminated with a backing sheet. The top sheet is printable and cut by at least one intermittent cut line to define a corresponding number of removable elements, and a waste element. The intermittent cut line includes a plurality of bridging portions which connect the, or each, removable element to the waste element. Removal of a removable element from the backing sheet and waste element is typically achieved by lifting of a side or corner of the removable element and breaking the bridging portions in series along the intermittent cut line.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2006Publication date: May 24, 2007Applicants: Peter Geoffrey Alan MORRISH, Priscilla Dorothy MORRISH, Mark Peter MORRISH, Kenneth George MORRISH, Gerald David MORRISHInventor: John Morrish

Publication number: 20040022326Abstract: A digital audio broadcast receiver for a satellite audio broadcasting system may include two RF tuner systems and a single base band decoding chip. The two RF tuner systems may be configured to filter and down-convert signal from at least one antenna. The satellite tuner may down-convert a single carrier high level of modulation signal maximizing the data capacity compared to equivalent S-DARS systems. The single base band decoding chip configured to process at least two channel decoding functions to combine streams from each of the two RF tuner system and extract useful information for presenting to a user interface. The single base band decoding chip is based on a software driven DSP architecture topology that allows software upgrades and services and protocols evolution delaying the receiver hardware obsolescence.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2002Publication date: February 5, 2004Inventors: John Morrish, Jean-Marc Villevieille

Publication number: 20040022231Abstract: A digital audio broadcasting system (DAB) includes a transmitter configured to transmit a DAB multiplex to one or more mobile receivers. The DAB multiplex includes a live payload and a time diversity “early” signal to circumvent temporary obstruction and loss of a main live signal. Techniques are provided for minimizing the amount of bandwidth used by the time diversity signal in the DAB multiplex in order to maximize the available amount of content channels in a spectrum-limited, satellite, digital, radio broadcast to mobile receivers. The time diversity signal may be minimized by limiting the amount of data in the time diversity signal to a predetermined amount, by transmitting mono, audio data in the time diversity signal and/or by eliminating the time diversity signal when non-real time data is being transmitted.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2002Publication date: February 5, 2004Inventors: John Morrish, Jean-Marc Villevieille, Ali Shoamanesh
