    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to an ink-jet ink and a method of ink-jet printing over a prolonged period of time. The ink-jet ink include from 0.1 wt % to 10 wt % pigment by solids, from 0.1 wt % to 15 wt % latex by solids, and from 0.01 wt % to 3 wt % phosphate-containing surfactant, wherein when the ink-jet ink is fired from a thermal ink-jet printhead at 400 million drops per nozzle with said nozzle having an orifice size of about 20 microns, at least 80% drop weight is retained compared to an initial firing prior to firing the 400 million drops per nozzle.
