  • Publication number: 20220233046
Abstract: A robotic mop includes one or more mop assemblies that may be used for support, mobility, and/or scrubbing. The mop assemblies may be operated to both scrub and move the robotic mop along the intended path. For example, the robotic mop may operate the mop assemblies in this way by rotating the mop assemblies in one or more directions at various different speeds, by tilting the mop assemblies (whether or not while rotating the mop assemblies at the time), and so on. In this way, the robotic mop may be able to move while scrubbing with various amounts of force without disrupting navigation.

  • Publication number: 20160330886
Abstract: A new and distinct hybrid wine grapevine plant named ‘BN5-4, characterized by the following unique combination of characteristics: Very vigorous with extremely high disease resistance in the southeastern United States, including resistance to bacterial Pierce's disease and a host of fungal diseases. Average- to high-yielding vines, with dark, purple-skinned, seeded berries. Wine from the variety may be produced to be light red with a pleasant character and low residual sugar, or with a foxy character.

  • Patent number: 6609261
Abstract: A mattress resistant to bursting at the seam binding joining the upper and side tickings when subjected to flame conditions, is disclosed. The binding includes a tape overlying the junction of the fabrics defining the top and side tickings. The tape and ticking components are held together by a stitching thread such as lock stitching penetrating the tape, the ticking junctures and the tape again at an opposite side of the binding. The tape is selected to be thermoplastic, fire retardant and flowable at a temperature substantially lower than the char temperature of the thread which is thermo set. As a result of this combination, a flame directed against the binding will first induce the thermoplastic tape to melt and flow around and into the binding thread protecting the thread from charring and consequently losing its tensile strength for a significant period of time.

  • Patent number: 6549162
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for providing data originating from an aircraft to a ground-based device using a satellite communications link. The system includes an aircraft-based transceiver to transmit the data to a satellite. The data is associated with the operation of a particular aircraft. Also included is a ground-based receiver to receive the data transmitted from the aircraft-based transceiver through a communications link established by the satellite.

  • Patent number: 6432138
Abstract: A biocompatable nonbiodegradable breast prosthesis comprises a generally conical shell filled with a resilient mass comprised of a multiplicity of layers of resiliently compressible fabric. The shell fabric provides a pore size in the range of from about 2 to 15 microns, 5 microns being preferred. The filler fabric layers define a void content from 70 to 90% or more and are resilient when subjected to compressive forces in both wet and dry conditions. The layers preferably are a honeycomb weave and are formed of monofilament yarns.

  • Patent number: 5545217
Abstract: A breast prosthesis implant is disclosed comprising a generally conical bio-compatible fabric shell. The shell is pervious to tissue growth and body fluids. The interior of the shell is divided into series of discrete chambers separated by pervious fabric dividers, the chambers containing masses of bio-compatible fibers. The fiber concentration in the chambers nearest the apex of the cone is less than the concentration in chambers progressively further from the cone apex. Preferably, the shell is somewhat stretchable to permit the volume of the shell to increase or decrease in accordance with the weight gain or loss of the patient.

  • Patent number: 4609600
Abstract: An electrochemical cell or battery contains two or more electrodes, the active material of one or more of the electrodes consisting of an electrically conductive, electrochemically oxidizable and/or reducible polymer. The electrolyte consists of one or more ionic or ionizable compounds, as conductive salts, dissolved or suspended in an organic electrolyte solvent, the electrolyte containing one or more organic complex ligands possessing ethylene glycol ether units.
