Publication number: 20100279753Abstract: The invention is a statistics based fantasy style interactive sports game of a predetermined duration that may be played in a bar or restaurant or over the internet. Each game takes place during a fixed time period (such as one hour), before which players choose a number of athletes from one or more sports that will be playing during that time period. During the course of the hour a player is awarded points for plays completed by selected athletes. At the end of the hour, the game player with the most points wins.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2010Publication date: November 4, 2010Inventors: Robert S. Goldberg, Adam T. Patent number: 7582852Abstract: A microwave intensification system includes a base frame having a plurality of support members, a microwave transparent, central vessel, and at least one dielectric unit positioned within the central vessel. A cooking surface is formed by covering the dielectric unit with a protective covering. In operation, a food item is placed within a processing container and positioned on the cooking surface over the dielectric unit. The processing container is sized such that an overlap exists between the container and the dielectric unit in order to balance the exposure of the food item to a microwave energy field. With this arrangement, the food item can rapidly undergo a cooking process in a manner wherein central and edge portions of the food item are exposed to a uniform cooking process thereby increasing the quality of the final product.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2005Date of Patent: September 1, 2009Assignee: ACP, Inc.Inventors: Edward R. Cook, Rex E. Fritts, John Moses Osepchuk

Publication number: 20070137852Abstract: The extraction of hydrocarbon fuel products such as kerogen oil and gas from a body of fixed fossil fuels such as oil shale is accomplished by applying a combination of electrical energy and critical fluids with reactants and/or catalysts down a borehole to initiate a reaction of reactants in the critical fluids with kerogen in the oil shale thereby raising the temperatures to cause kerogen oil and gas products to be extracted as a vapor, liquid or dissolved in the critical fluids. The hydrocarbon fuel products of kerogen oil or shale oil and hydrocarbon gas are removed to the ground surface by a product return line. An RF generator provides electromagnetic energy, and the critical fluids include a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2), with reactants of nitrous oxide (N2O) or oxygen (O2).Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2005Publication date: June 21, 2007Inventors: Brian Considine, John Cogliandro, Maureen Cogliandro, John Moses, John Hannon, John Markiewicz

Patent number: 6699000Abstract: A machine such as an articulated loading shovel, has a working arm, the machine including a body part to which a first end of the arm is attached for relative pivotal movement about a first generally horizontal axis and the arm having a second end adapted to mount a working implement for movement relative to the arm about a second generally horizontal axis characterized in that the arm is substantially straight between the first and second ends, and is of substantially inverted channel configuration having a top part and a pair of side walls integrally formed, and the arm over at least a major portion of its length between the first and second ends including a strengthening member which extends between and is connected to the side walls.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2001Date of Patent: March 2, 2004Assignee: J. C. Bamford Excavators LimitedInventors: John Moses, Norman Charles Hadley

Patent number: 6014939Abstract: A universally stable oil-well-ship turret (1) has a circumturret cylinder (2) with an inside periphery sufficiently greater than an outside periphery of a turret cylinder (7) to allow vertical positioning of the turret cylinder within the circumturret cylinder in opposition to variations from verticality of the circumturret cylinder in response to effects of wave and weather conditions on a marine vessel in which the circumturret cylinder is positioned rigidly. A plurality of horizontal and vertical bearings (10, 11) are pressure-cylinder actuated to maintain horizontal attitude of a turret flange (8) from which the turret cylinder is extended downward vertically into the circumturret cylinder. Sensor-responsive automation that is self-checking for reliability, selective manual operation and computer controls (52, 54) are provided. Appropriate redundancy and backup are provided for all systems, components and features. A use method is described.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1997Date of Patent: January 18, 2000Assignee: Hydralift, Inc.Inventors: Val J. Gusmeri, John Moses, Roger Burnison

Patent number: 4306781Abstract: A multi-purpose sound/data system which is capable of recording and reproducing a multitude of disparate and dissimilar information being digital and/or analog in nature in such a way so that there is no interference between the different information channels. This system is principally intended to be applied to motion picture film, but it is equally applicable to television and other devices by which sound, data and pictures may be electrically, mechanically or optically recorded and reproduced. It is an important feature that a film recorded with this system can be reproduced by any standard photographic soundhead without alteration, in the same way as a normal photographic soundtrack. This invention confines itself to the layout of the tracks to present a compatible format and does not deal with the methods of recording and reproduction.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1980Date of Patent: December 22, 1981Inventor: John Mosely
