  • Publication number: 20240106312
Abstract: A curvilinear track section of a linear motor system including: a straight track portion; a curvilinear track portion coupled to the straight track portion; at least one motor unit for driving a moving element along the straight track portion and the curvilinear track portion; wherein the curvilinear track portion has a clothoid transition region adjacent to the straight track portion. In some cases, the curvilinear track portion includes a first slot grouping formed in an exterior edge of the curvilinear track portion, wherein the first slot grouping is at a predetermined angle relative to the exterior edge; a second slot grouping formed in the exterior edge of the curvilinear track portion, wherein the second slot grouping is at a second predetermined angle; and motor units inserted into the first and second slot groupings.

  • Patent number: 10888851
Abstract: A new aluminosilicate zeolite designated UZM-50, methods of making the zeolite, and its use as a catalyst in hydrocarbon conversion processes are described. This zeolite is represented by the empirical formula: M+mRrAl1?xExSiyOz where M is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium or combinations thereof, R is the organic structure directing agent or agents derived from reactants R1 and R2 where R1 is an amine essentially incapable of undergoing pyramidal inversion and having 7 or fewer carbon atoms, and R2 is a dihaloalkane, and E is an element selected from the group consisting of gallium, iron, boron and mixtures thereof. UZM-50 has utility in various hydrocarbon conversion reactions such as conversion of an aromatic molecule to another aromatic molecule.

  • Publication number: 20120095935
Abstract: A method for managing the transportation and logistics of an inbound freight process on behalf of a retail distribution network is provided. A purchase order is processed for a scheduled inbound shipment of a vendor's goods, including a delivery date on which the shipment is required by the retail distribution network. An optimal carriage arrangement is determined so as to meet the delivery date requirement on a just-in-time basis, including proactive reduction of order cycle time where opportunity exists. A pickup appointment is scheduled with the vendor, and notified to the vendor and the retail distribution network. An available carrier is assigned, and notified as to the pickup appointment and the delivery date requirement. Delivery of the order by the carrier is arranged, and the status of the order is monitored. The retail distribution network and the vendor are notified of a successful delivery meeting the delivery date requirement, or if there is a service failure, the resolution thereof.
