Abstract: A method and system for designing equipment for manufacture and generating drawings on-line. A customer logs on to the system via a World Wide Web or other network connection and is presented with a list of equipments to configure and design. When the customer selects equipment, the system prompts the customer to enter various parameters and guides the customer through the design. The system automatically generates a drawing based on the customer-entered parameters. At the same time, all necessary parts drawings are computed and completed, ready for manufacturing of the equipment without needing additional information from the customer. Design specification drawing based on the customer-entered parameters that are automatically generated are sent to the customer over the network or via facsimile.
