  • Publication number: 20240073486
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for personalizing video content using information associated with a viewer of the video content. An indication is received from a host device that dynamic user background replacement is to be used for the video content. An indication is then received of one or more aspects of the video content to be personalized. Potential viewers of the video content are identified. Once identified, a database is queried for personalized information associated with a first viewer of the potential viewers of the video content. Based on the personalized information associated with the first viewer, an original video content version of the video content is modified to generate a first video content version of the video content.

  • Patent number: 11656528
Abstract: Multiple collimated laser beams can be arranged in a tightly packed non-overlapping array the goes through a telescope system to reduce the size of the beams and also the separation between the beam centers. The beams in the resulting smaller array then diverge until they reach a nonlinear lens, which collimates each of the beams individually so that all of the beams are collimated, pointing in the same direction and overlapping. The pulses in the beams are temporally separated from each other such that the nonlinear lens acts as a different lens for each of the beams. Such an arrangement facilitates scaling the far field average intensity by combining multiple temporally interleaved pulsed laser beams, allowing diverging pulsed laser beams to be collimated individually by utilizing the large nonlinear refractive index of certain materials.

  • Patent number: 9140520
Abstract: A chassis system and firearm including a chassis having a forward end terminating in a barrel support member, a rearward end, and a cavity defined by the chassis intermediate the forward end and the rearward end. A receiver with attached barrel is received in the cavity, and the barrel is received in the barrel support member. A handguard including a rearward end having a split therein and movable between a normally expanded configuration and a contracted configuration is carried over and encircling the barrel. The rearward end is slidably received over the barrel support member in the expanded configuration and securely engaged to the barrel support member in the contracted configuration.

  • Patent number: 8190569
Abstract: A system and computer implemented method comprises: (a) receiving, via a computing device, configuration data comprising unique settings and areas to clone from a site cloning page of a base site; (b) pulling all content to be cloned that is located from at least one database based on the configuration data; (c) creating a new site having a framework, the framework comprising site structure and being initially empty; and (d) copying the content from the at least one database into the framework of the new site to create a site clone of the base site customized with the configuration data.

  • Publication number: 20100281884
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a thermal management unit including a housing, at least one fan, a plurality of thermoelectric modules, at least one heat sink assembly coupled to the plurality of thermoelectric modules, and controller providing power to the plurality of thermoelectric modules. The thermal management unit also includes a printed circuit board incorporating the plurality of thermoelectric modules and electrically connecting the plurality of thermoelectric modules to the controller. The printed circuit board separates an ambient side of the thermal management unit and an enclosure side of the thermal management unit.

  • Patent number: 5962743
Abstract: This invention provides a process for preparing acylaromatics comprising reacting an aromatic compound with a carboxylic acid in the presence of a reaction medium comprising polyphosphoric acid and a strong protic acid. In one embodiment, the invention provides a process for preparing a para-acyl phenoxyethylamine comprising the steps of reacting a 2-phenoxyethyl compound bearing a leaving group on the ethyl 1-position with a carboxylic acid in the presence of a reaction medium comprising polyphosphoric acid and a strong protic acid, to form apara-acyl phenoxyethyl intermediate bearing the leaving group; and reacting the para-acyl phenoxyethyl intermediate with an amine that substitutes for the leaving group to form the para-acyl phenoxyethylamine.
