    Abstract: Solubilizable polyacrylamide gels are made by polymerizing acrylamide in the presence of a cross-linking agent which contains a disulfide bridge. The resulting gel is soluble in the presence of reducing agents which convert the disulfide bridge into the corresponding free sulfydryl form.
