  • Patent number: 9284681
Abstract: An adjustable iron holder having an outer housing with a pivoting iron holding plate for storing a steam iron in either a toe down or toe up position that is adjustable relative to a vertical axis for optimal draining, and a removable drain receptacle for collecting water drained from the iron or which may leak from the iron to reduce the formation of mineral deposits and/or rust in or on the iron. The iron holder may be provided with a removable ironing board bracket that supports a folded ironing board. A removable water cup may be provided on one side wall of the outer housing for containing a supply of water to be used by the steam iron, and a removable accessory storage cup may be provided on the opposed side wall for holding the cord of the iron or miscellaneous small items.

  • Patent number: 8266763
Abstract: A leaf and lawn vacuum bagger has a housing that is attached to the exhaust outlet of a conventional leaf and lawn blower/vacuum or mulching device, and an air permeable bag releasably connected to the exhaust outlet has a fastener closure at a bottom end. A flexible sleeve is secured at one end to the housing and the air permeable bag is releasably connected at the opposed end for capturing the vacuumed yard debris. A closure member attached to the housing is selectively closed to allow exhaust gases from the lawn blower/vacuum or mulcher device to exit through the pores of the air permeable bag to the atmosphere, and leaves and yard debris exhausted through the blower/vacuum or mulcher falls down through the interior of said air permeable bag, through said sleeve, and are collected in the housing interior, and when opened, the collected leaves and yard debris falls through the housing and into the attached disposable bag, and the attached bag is then removed and replaced as needed.

  • Patent number: 8109344
Abstract: An auxiliary rotary tool drive apparatus mounted on, or an integral component of, hand-held rotary power tool has an extendable and retractable auxiliary drive shaft and a gear assembly that is selectively operatively engaged with the power transmitting shaft and gear assembly of the power tool and driven thereby using only the hand grasping the power tool for driving screws, fasteners, bits or other work performing members attached to the auxiliary drive shaft without having to move or remove the existing work performing member from the holding member of the power tool.

  • Patent number: 7987548
Abstract: A leaf and lawn vacuum bagger has a housing that is attached to the exhaust outlet of a conventional leaf and lawn blower/vacuum or mulching device, and a conventional disposable trash bag is releasably attached to the housing for capturing the vacuumed yard debris. When the disposable bag is full or otherwise, it may be easily detached and another disposable bag easily affixed to collect more vacuumed leaf and yard debris. Alternatively, the vacuumed leaf and lawn debris can be collected and retained in the housing for later removal.

  • Patent number: 5614607
Abstract: The invention provides a method of preparing a polyimide by reacting together a dianhydride and a diisocyanate or equivalent, the polyimide having repeating units of the general formula (I): ##STR1## in which D is a group comprising one or more aromatic rings, to which the imide carbon atoms are directly bonded, andE is a group comprising one or more cycloaliphatic or aromatic rings, to which the imide nitrogen atoms are bonded directly or via an aliphatic group, provided that the imide nitrogen atoms are not bonded directly to an aromatic ring. Such polyimide is colourless or of low colour.

  • Patent number: 4788314
Abstract: A method for producing sulphatoalkyl acrylates or methacrylates having the general formula; ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is H or CH.sub.3, R.sub.2 is one or more alkoxylate groups each of which has from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, comprises reacting a hydroxy alkyl acrylate or methacrylate having the formula; ##STR2## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined above, with chlorosulphonic acid at a temperature of less than 20.degree. C. to form the acid ester. Salts of the acid ester may be produced by reaction with a basic metal salt, ammonium salt or quaternary ammonium salt.
