Abstract: The method is for use with a strip or plate of steel, the steel being of a composition and temperature suitable for heat treatment, and comprising the following steps: ustenizing the strip or plate to produce austenitized material; quenching the austenized material to produce hardened steel; thermally tempering the hardened steel to produce tempered steel; and stretching and leveling the tempered steel to produce heat treated steel.

Abstract: A mounting device to attach peripheral equipment while operating a bicycle, said mounting device having a base and an aperture in the base to permit a mounting bolt to be inserted, a peripheral wall projecting above the base and defining a receptacle to permit the peripheral equipment to be mounted to the base.
