  • Publication number: 20220294705
Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a processor, metadata for deploying a virtual function on a cloud network. The method may include determining, by the processor, whether deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata. The method may include based on the determination that the deployment of the virtual function is possible without conflicting with the metadata, designing, by the processor, a cloud plan, or a transport plan. The method may include determining, based on the metadata, a network configuration to implement the cloud plan or the transport plan. The method may include configuring, by the processor, the cloud network using the network configuration.

  • Publication number: 20220248787
Abstract: There is disclosed apparel for providing protection and illumination. In an embodiment, a gaiter has a top portion and a bottom portion with a layer of material extending therebetween. The layer of material provides a protective covering to a lower limb of the user. At least one securement mechanism provides an adjustable attachment of the gaiter to the user. The selective mechanism allows attachment of the gaiter with a variety of footwear. A light housing is integrally disposed on an outward portion of the layer of material of the gaiter. The light housing provides illumination adjacent to the foot of a user. The combination of the gaiter and the light housing together provide a body-worn lighting device without attaching the light housing directly to any of the user, the footwear worn by the user, and clothing worn by the user. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10805172
Abstract: A method includes receiving metadata for deploying a virtual function on a cloud network. The metadata includes a recipe, policy, and template. The method includes, based on the metadata, designing a cloud plan and a transport plan for deploying the virtual function on the cloud network to meet a forecasted demand. The method includes determining a network configuration to implement the cloud plan and the network plan based on the metadata and causing the cloud network to be configured using the network configuration. The method includes instantiating the virtual function on the configured cloud network.

  • Patent number: 10628251
Abstract: An intelligent preventative maintenance architecture for maintaining a plurality of cloud components operating within a cloud computing environment is disclosed. The architecture can perform a predictive failure analysis that monitors health of at least a portion of the plurality of cloud components that hosts a mission critical application. The predictive failure analysis receives sensor data that includes environmental data associated with environmental characteristics of the cloud computing environment and cloud component data associated with operational characteristics of at least a portion of the plurality of cloud components operating within the cloud computing environment. The predictive failure analysis analyzes the sensor data to detect an abnormal pattern within the sensor data, determines a root cause of the abnormal pattern, and predicts a probability of a failure of at least one cloud component of the plurality of cloud components.

Abstract: A device and method manages components of a network. The method performed in a registry includes recording, for an instantiated component (IC), an identification thereof. The method includes recording, for the IC, a location of the IC, the location being a physical location or a virtual location. The method includes recording, for the IC, a relation of the IC to a second IC. The method includes receiving a change to one of the identification, the location, and the relation. The method includes recording the change and a further change to another one of the identification, the location, and the relation based upon the change.

  • Patent number: 8641109
Abstract: A pet shovel has an elongated handle, a shovel head and a bag mounting frame disposed between the shovel head and a distal end of the elongated handle. The frame forms an opening between the shovel head and the distal end of the elongated handle. The bag mounting frame is adapted to retain a mouth of a bag open disposed between the shovel head and the distal end of the elongated handle in the opening between the shovel head and the distal end of the elongated handle. A bag body support extends from a bottom of the elongated handle to receive a body of the bag mounted on the bag mounting frame to form a sump in an end of the bag, distal from the shovel head and the mouth of the bag.
