Publication number: 20250100873Abstract: A sour gas stream is sub-stoichiometrically combusted to produce soot and a sour syngas stream. At least 10% of the carbon in the sour gas stream is converted into the soot. At least a portion of the hydrogen sulfide of the sour syngas stream is reacted with sulfur dioxide to produce a syngas stream comprising the carbon dioxide, the carbon monoxide, the hydrogen, water, elemental sulfur vapor, a residual portion of the hydrogen sulfide, and a residual portion of the sulfur dioxide. The syngas stream is reacted with steam to produce a shifted sour gas stream including more carbon dioxide, more hydrogen, more hydrogen sulfide, and less carbon monoxide in comparison to the syngas stream. Water and hydrogen sulfide is separated from the shifted sour gas stream to produce a sweet gas stream. The sweet gas stream is separated into a hydrogen product stream and an exhaust stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2023Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: John O'Connell, Megat A. Publication number: 20240228275Abstract: A hydrocarbon stream is combusted within a reactor to produce soot and syngas. Sub-stoichiometric combustion of the hydrocarbon stream within the reactor converts at least 10% of the carbon in the hydrocarbon stream into soot. The syngas is mixed with a steam stream to produce a hydrogenation feed stream. A shift reactor converts at least a portion of the carbon monoxide and steam to carbon dioxide and hydrogen to produce a shifted gas stream. Water is separated from the shifted gas stream to produce a dehydrated gas stream. The dehydrated gas stream is separated to produce a hydrogen product stream and a recycle stream. The recycle stream is recycled to the reactor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2022Publication date: July 11, 2024Inventor: John O'Connell

Patent number: 11882013Abstract: Example implementations relate to changing a status of a device responsive to detecting an anomaly. A traffic pattern of a device may be monitored across a network. It may be determined that the monitored traffic pattern deviates from an expected traffic pattern of the group of devices by a threshold. Responsive to determining that the devices deviates from the expected traffic pattern, packet data transmitted by the device may be inspected. It may be determined that the inspected packet data transmitted by the device is anomalous. The status of the device may be changed responsive to determining that the packet data transmitted by the device is anomalous.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2021Date of Patent: January 23, 2024Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: John O'Connell, Ravi Saxena, Bo Wang

Publication number: 20230149708Abstract: The disclosure deals with methodologies and systems for oscillating electric fields (OEF), which can disrupt a cell's ability to divide. Passing these electric fields through, for example, a person's brain (or other anatomical organ or region of the body) possesses the ability to stop cancer cells from growing in patients where disease is expected. These devices can be worn by patients going through treatment to inhibit metastatic disease and to even enhance the sensitivity of established cancer cells to other therapies. Presently disclosed methodologies relate to varying frequency and/or amplitude of the oscillating electric signal for improved treatment effectiveness.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2022Publication date: May 18, 2023Inventors: JOHN O'CONNELL, JASON HENDERSON, JONATHAN STENBECK

Patent number: 11546833Abstract: 5G introduces the concept of network slices. Although the 5G standard contemplates some form of slice access control, it is premised on subscriber identity-based checks. Because subscriber identities are associated with/maintained via subscriber identity module (SIM) cards, and because SIM cards can be swapped from one device (user equipment) to another, slice access control based on subscriber identities can fail to prevent unauthorized device access. Systems and methods are provided for enhanced slice access control vis-à-vis an enhanced access and mobility management (AMF), and equipment identity register (EIR) functions. In some embodiments, a localized EIR function can reduce latency/messaging overhead.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2021Date of Patent: January 3, 2023Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Ravi Saxena, John O'Connell
