  • Publication number: 20090285869
Abstract: A lecithin organogel (“LO”) operates as a transdermal pharmaceutical delivery composition. In particular, the lecithin organogel comprises an internal oil phase containing oil-in-water (“O/W”) and water-in-oil (“W/O”) emulsifiers, and an aqueous phase comprising inorganic and organic hydrocolloids. The lecithin organogel may contain up to 80% additive ingredients, including biocompatible surfactants, nonpolar solvents, saturated fatty alcohols, moisturizers, preservatives or antimicrobials, and chelating agents.

  • Publication number: 20060086194
Abstract: Volumetric flow meters, volumetric flow controllers, mass flow meters, and mass flow controllers using a transverse laminar flow assembly are described. The flow assembly may be constructed from a plurality of open and/or closed slices or layers stacked upon one another and held together in compression by through bolts or another means. Meter or flow controller accuracy may be aided by use of flow conditioning features preceding an axial bore of the transverse flow assembly including one or more of a deflector, filter and nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20060053911
Abstract: A thermal anemometer or mass flow meter having temperature and flow velocity sensor elements is provided in which a thin film temperature sensor is provided in the heated sensor of the fluid velocity sensor element of the system. The thin-film sensor is captured at least partially within a spacer or interface member, the spacer being received within a housing. The thermal anemometer is constructed to offer sufficient precision and accuracy in its design to be suitable for sensitive scientific and industrial applications. This goal is achieved while using cost effective parts—as in the thin film temperature sensor(s)—in connection with a construction approach minimizing or eliminating gaps or other system configuration variability.

  • Publication number: 20030218344
Abstract: Ultimate grip is a universal gripping device developed for the use of securing a striking implement to fingers by sliding fingers into finger element and wrapping end strap around object in a beneficial locking pattern and applying palmar side of hand onto grip and wrapped striking implement. The gripping device has a finger element which consist of flexor straps, metacarpal straps, metacarpophalangeal joint strap and an end strap used for wrapping around striking implement. The unique form of gripping device allows for flexor areas in the finger through palm side of hand to be permanently attached to striking implement by use of a securely locked end strap. Also, the unique form of gripping device allows for striking implement to fit securely in metacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of finger and palm providing a consistent flexible grip which is extremely important in proper handling technique of a striking implement such as a bat, club or racquet.
