Publication number: 20240076688Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Applicant: PIONEER HI-BRED INTERNATIONAL, INCInventors: JENNIFER KARA BARRY, CATHERINE J CLARK, RYAN MICHAEL GERBER, AMY LUM, JOHN P MATHIS, AZALEA S ONG, BROOKE PETERSON-BURCH, THOMAS CHAD WOLFE, WEIPING XIE, NASSER YALPANI, XIAOHONG ZHONG

Patent number: 6550016Abstract: A telecommunications device includes a protection bus, at least one protected card, and an I/O module for the protected card. The I/O module is coupled to the protected card and the protection bus and communicates data between the protected card and an associated network interface. The device also includes at least one protection card and a protection I/O module for the protection card. The protection I/O module is coupled to the protection card and to the protection bus and is capable of assuming at least some responsibilities of the protected card in response to a failure of the protected card. The protection I/O module will then communicate the data between the protection card and the I/O module for the protected card using the protection bus. The I/O module for the protected card communicates the data with the network interface associated with the protected card to protect the device from the failure of the protected card.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1999Date of Patent: April 15, 2003Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Brent K. Patent number: 3979052Abstract: A keyhole-less magnetically actuated lock, the key having magnets borne on concentric rings rotatable by a dial, the lock having magnetically responsive switches (for example, reed switches) within the lock actuatable by the key, some of the switches providing a series GO function and some providing a parallel NOGO function. In one form, the GO function powers an electric motor within the lock to withdraw the lock bolts, and in another form the actuator is a thermo electric device. Several NOGO techniques are shown, including a toggled circuit breaker and a bucking coil in the motor. A circuit is shown for inverting the GO and NOGO functions to change the combination of the lock, and one embodiment shows placement of two magnets on one ring in the key to render the key unique. Another embodiment shows use of a covert grid of locator marks to direct correct placement of the key against the lock.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1974Date of Patent: September 7, 1976Assignee: United Technologies CorporationInventors: Joseph R.
