    Abstract: A window guard includes a pair of sliding panels, each of which has integrally formed horizontal and vertical flanges. The panels are interlocked to slide relative to each other in order to accommodate various window widths yet, at the same time, maintaining a high degree of rigidity against bending. The panels each include vent openings which admit air without weakening the apparatus.
