Abstract: A method and apparatus for updating location information of a customer via a terminal adaptor that is used to access network services are disclosed. For example, the method receives a request from a customer for accessing at least one network service. The method then detects a change in an Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with the customer in the request. In response, the method requests the customer to provide input relating to location information of the customer.

Abstract: A secured computer system includes a communication interface and an intrusion detection module. The computer system may be portable and configured for wireless communication with a user of the system. The user may activate and configure an alarm monitor, which may be triggered by motion of the computer system. If the triggered alarm is not deactivated, an alarm sequence is activated. If the alarm sequence is not cancelled, then security measures for protecting sensitive data on the computer system from unauthorized access may be executed. The security measures may include removing data or rendering a storage device inaccessible.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for performing call correlation across network elements are disclosed. For example, the method receives by a first correlation engine one or more Call Detail Records (CDRs) from one or more network elements at a completion of a call wherein each of said one or more CDRs contains a correlation identification and a service identification. The method identifies a list of expected CDRs for said call and determines whether all of said expected CDRs for said call are received. The method then creates a CDR set for the call.

Abstract: A system and a method for creating and managing an Internet Protocol television personal movie library are disclosed. An access request for a movie library server and a personal movie library is received over a provider network. A movie search request for an on-demand movie is received over the provider network. The movie library server is searched for the on-demand movie. If the on-demand movie is located in the movie library server, then the on-demand movie is added to the personal movie library. If the on-demand movie is not located in the movie library server, then a content provider is connected to over a public network, the on-demand movie is downloaded from the content provider over the public network, and the on-demand movie is added to the personal movie library.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for retrieving electronic mail and voicemail on packet networks such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Service over Internet Protocol (SoIP) networks are disclosed. For example, a customer subscribes to a messaging service(s) where voicemail and/or email destined to the customer's IP phone can be accessed from a second endpoint device, where the IP phone and the second endpoint device are different devices. In one embodiment, the network service provider allows the second endpoint device that is deployed on another network, e.g., a wireless network, to access the stored messages in a particular presentation format (e.g., an audio format or a text format).
