A service provider with associated service provider characteristics is identified. The service provider is capable of providing the service. Compliance or non-compliance of the legal compliance rules with the service provider characteristics is verified using service characteristics of a default service. A compliant or non-compliant verification of the service provider for the default service is returned from a result of the verifying compliance or non-compliance.

Abstract: A method for determining a plurality of scheduling endpoints in a grid network, each scheduling endpoint comprising a device for processing job requests communicated across the network, the method comprising the steps of: examining a communication across the network in order to determine a current activity status of a requesting device; identifying an activity history for the requesting device; comparing the current activity status with the activity history to derive a statistical data set; and analysing the statistical data set to derive a time period in which the requesting device is available for processing job requests.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for determining the power supply requirements of a data processing system, wherein the data processing system is associated with a plurality of field replaceable units. A method in accordance with an embodiment includes: identifying, from an electronic label associated with a field replaceable unit, a unique identifier and a power supply requirement of the field replaceable unit; identifying an electronic enclosure label associated with a data processing system; associating the electronic label of a field replaceable unit with the electronic enclosure label of the data processing system; instructing the electronic enclosure label to calculate the power supply requirement of the data processing system from the identified power supply requirement of the associated field replaceable unit associated with the electronic label.
