    Abstract: A device for training the muscles used during a golf club swinging motion. The device includes a connector coupled to the head of the golf club and a resilient and extensible tether having a proximal end for connection to the connector and a distal end for connection to a trainee's body. The device is used by causing the trainee to engage in a golf swing motion so that the tether provides resistance to the trainee's muscles in the sequence used to perform the swing.

    Abstract: A footwear customization system that includes a rearfoot and forefoot goniometer for measuring rearfoot and forefoot alignment of a foot to provide rearfoot and forefoot alignment data. A customizable piece of footwear having a moldable, settable midsole is mounted on a shoe press, and the shoe press applies pressure to the midsole based on the rearfoot and forefoot alignment data in order to form a contour in the midsole. The contour provides alignment corrections based on the rearfoot and forefoot alignment data. A computer running a footwear customization program can be interfaced to the rearfoot and forefoot goniometer and the shoe press to receive the rearfoot and forefoot alignment data from the rearfoot and forefoot goniometer and provide it to the shoe press. An injection apparatus can be used to set the midsole of the piece of footwear so that the midsole retains the contour after the piece of footwear has been removed from the shoe press.

    Abstract: An arm training device comprises a resilient and extensible tether, a set of bindings for the upper and lower arm, such that the set of bindings is connected to each other and to a tether. The other end of the tether is then connected to a restraint means which provides resistance for the arm moving or exerting motion away from restraint means. In one embodiment, particularly suitable for development of both arms, two sets of arm bindings are provided for attachment to upper and lower parts of both arms and the tethers of each set of arm bindings are then attached to a belt to be worn about the waist. In another embodiment, a single set of arm bindings is provided for attachment to upper and lower parts of the one involved arm, and the opposite end of the tether is provided with a loop or similar means for attachment to a stationary source of resistance or to be held by the trainer.

    Abstract: An artificial ice skating treadmill for forward and backward ice skating, specifically designed to allow an ice skater to practice normal ice skating behavior while in a relatively fixed position. The general elements of the present design allow for the ice skater's form to be observed and coached from very close range, thus promoting rapid improvement in technique. The present ice skating treadmill allows for uphill or downhill skating, thus causing rapid loading of specific muscle groups and in turn the strengthening of those groups. A variable speed element in the present ice skating treadmill also allows muscle group conditioning at all skating speeds.The essential features of the present apparatus are the support base with a screw type tilt mechanism.

    Abstract: A leg muscle training device comprises an elongated elastomeric and stretchable tether, a set of leg bindings secured to each end of the tether, and a position adjustable attachment means connected to the tether. Each set of leg bindings includes a thigh binding and a calf binding. The attachment means is designed to provide stationary resistance for the device to provide resistance for the runner moving away from the stationary resistance. The attachment means is preferably a position adjustable loop, and the means for providing stationary resistance is to have a person, such as the trainer, position the loop over the forearm and grasp the lengths of the tether firmly while the runner is moving or exerting motion away, as by running on a treadmill or in place. A method for strengthening and training a runner comprises securing the leg bindings of the device of this invention to both legs of a runner and securing the attachment means of the device to a stationary point of attachment.
