  • Publication number: 20250044754
Abstract: A harvester operating settings initialization method and system receives, by electronic control architecture having a processor and memory, a plurality of aggregated data sets pertaining to multiple parameters including harvester machine parameters, harvester environment parameters, and crop parameters. The electronic processing architecture applies modeling logic to the plurality of aggregated data sets to determine a selected evaluation group from a plurality of evaluation groups each having multiple of the plurality of aggregated data sets. The electronic control architecture generates an optimization settings data set for machine and crop combinations utilizing the selected evaluation group for one or more geospatial locations. The optimization settings data set is transferred from the electronic control architecture to an operating setting controller of a harvester for initializing settings of operational systems of the harvester.

  • Publication number: 20240245003
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining properties of seed cotton based on measurements from a near-infrared (NIR) sensor. The determined properties are indicative of a quality of the seed cotton. The NIR sensor is mounted on harvesting equipment to acquire quality data during harvesting. The quality data may be mapped to field location and/or forwarded on in preparation of further processing.

  • Publication number: 20240220780
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to determine field access readiness to receive in a neural network a field metric, receive in the neural network a first field operating decision, generate from the neural network a field condition at a time of operation based on the field metric, generate a first probability that a field may be accessed given the field condition at the time of operation based on the first field operating decision and the field condition at the time of operation; and apply the first probability to the field, or subset areas of the field by the field metric.

  • Publication number: 20230196575
Abstract: A system for optical assessment of crop in a harvesting machine comprising: a camera configured to record an image of the crop; and an image processing system configured to receive the supplied image from the camera and a reference image and generate an output value based on a degree of similarity between the reference image and the supplied image.

  • Publication number: 20220000008
Abstract: A mobile agricultural machine includes a row unit having a furrow opener mounted to the row unit and configured to engage a surface of ground over which the mobile agricultural machine travels to open a furrow in the ground. A furrow closer is mounted to the row unit behind the furrow opener relative to a direction of travel of the mobile agricultural machine and configured to engage the surface of the ground to close the furrow. A furrow sensor system is mounted to the row unit and configured to sense characteristics relative to the furrow opened by the furrow opener and generate a sensor signal indicative of the characteristics. The mobile agricultural machine can further include a control system configured to determine a furrow quality metric corresponding to the furrow sensed by the furrow sensor system based on the sensor signal and generate an action signal to control an action of the mobile agricultural machine based on the furrow quality metric.
