  • Publication number: 20240115977
Abstract: A grit removal system with an annular grit removal chamber and a central hopper beneath the chamber bottom, including an opening through the chamber bottom to the hopper. Influent and effluent channels direct wastewater with grit into and out of the grit removal chamber. A plate over the chamber bottom opening has a first portion with a plurality of first openings therethrough and a second plate portion with a plurality of second openings therethrough, wherein the flow velocity for a given flow rate through the first openings is greater than the flow velocity for the given flow rate through the second openings.

  • Patent number: 11921789
Abstract: An apparatus and method for training a search engine generates synthetic search arguments and target information that are provided to the search engine as training. A search argument simulator ingests product information and historical interaction data, determines relevant descriptors, creates compound descriptors, and creates candidate search arguments. A trainer checks the candidates against historical search arguments, identifies similar search arguments and determines likely search arguments that are used for training. An evaluator monitors search engine responses and triggers retraining of the search engine.

  • Publication number: 20240072599
Abstract: An electric power apparatus includes a main planar body having a circular opening that supports a brushless direct-current (BLDC) motor. The motor includes a stator, a rotor, a motor spindle extending through the circular opening, a first end cap formed on a first side of the stator and mounted on the main planar body; and a second end cap formed on a second side of the stator and secured to the first end cap to form a substantially watertight seal around the stator and the rotor. A ratio of a maximum power output of the motor when powered by at least one battery pack to a height of the motor as measured from an upper surface of the main planar body to a top surface of the motor is greater than or equal to approximately 34 watts/mm.

  • Patent number: 9734037
Abstract: Applications on a mobile device are sampled for detecting applications causing performance problems on the device. The method includes periodically logging performance information for a mobile device suspected to be having performance problems. The method further includes periodically logging identifying information about multiple applications on the mobile device. The method also includes periodically providing to a security server the logged performance information for the mobile device and the logged identifying information about the applications. In addition, the method includes, in response to a request from the security server for more information about one of the applications, providing a copy of the application to the security server for analysis of the impact by the application on performance of the mobile device. The method can further include receiving from the security server an indication that the application for which the copy was provided is causing a performance problem on the mobile device.
