Abstract: Credit card transaction servers, systems, methods and computer program products receive information concerning a prospective credit card transaction with one of multiple credit card issuers and obtain location information from multiple wireless network providers for wireless terminal(s) that are associated with a user of the credit card for the prospective credit card transaction. The locations of the credit card transaction terminal(s) and the locations of the wireless terminal(s) are correlated, and authorization information for the prospective credit card transaction is generated based upon this location correlation.

Abstract: A method may use location information to transmit alert information to a communications device. Such a method may include receiving location information identifying a physical location of a mobile device; responsive to receiving an indication of communication intended for the mobile device, selecting an alerting tone based on the physical location of the mobile device; and providing instructions to adjust an alerting mechanism of the mobile device based on the selecting of the alerting tone. Abstract: Directions are provided over a network to a mobile terminal. Destination entries are stored in a memory. A server receives a voice-based request for directions to a target destination from the mobile terminal. A current location of the mobile terminal is determined. A processor compares the destination entries with the target destination to determine a matching entry. Directional instructions to the matching entry are obtained for the target destination based on the current location of the mobile terminal. The obtained directional instructions are transmitted to the mobile terminal for display on the mobile terminal.

Abstract: Methods of implementing geocaching games are provided in which information is provided regarding a location of a waypoint. Thereafter, it is confirmed that a player of the game physically arrived at the waypoint. After such confirmation has been obtained, the player may be awarded a virtual prize. Related geocaching games and computer program products are also disclosed.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for managing vendor inventory information and shopping navigation routes based upon shopping list contents. A server computer can execute a shopping management service. A shopping list is obtained at the server computer. The server computer obtains location data indicating a geographic location of the user device and identifies, based upon the location data, a vendor having an inventory comprising the item. The server computer generates a navigation route comprising a stop at a vendor location associated with the vendor, and provides the navigation route to the user device. The server computer can monitor purchases of items on the shopping list, update the shopping list, and update the navigation route. The server computer also can provide suggestions to the user device based upon items in the shopping list.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using wireless communication devices to track the effects of advertising are described herein. In some embodiments, a method includes representing the identity of an advertising impression, that is, a specific advertisement, with an impression code. According to exemplary embodiments, the advertising impression is directed to at least one commodity, such as one or more products and services. The method may also further include receiving the impression into a computer-readable memory of a wireless communication device. The method further includes detecting the wireless communication device, and then providing the impression code during the purchase of the commodity. The method continues with obtaining the identity of the advertising impression from the impression code. The method additionally includes creating a transaction record, wherein transaction record includes the advertising impression identity and an identity of the commodity, and storing the transaction record in a database.

In one embodiment, a user provides a voice-based request for directions to a desired destination through a communications device. The voice-based request includes a delivery method for the directions. The location of the user is determined, and a database is queried to determine one or more entries that match the desired destination contained in the request. Directional instructions to the matching entries are determined and provided to the user by the delivery method.

Abstract: Voice service over a next generation network is provided using Advanced Intelligent Network solutions. According to an exemplary embodiment, a Voice over Network system includes a communications device having a directory communication address in communication with a telecommunications network, means for decoding the directory communications address to identify a voice over internet protocol service feature of the communications address, and means for establishing an internet protocol telephony communications connection of the communications device with a called party's communications address via a VoN hotline. According to further exemplary embodiments, the hotline may include a media gateway, an application server, a feature server, and means for communicating among the media gateway, the application server, and the feature server.
