  • Patent number: 9782055
Abstract: A cleaning device having a frame and an elongated strip of cleaning material wound into a roll rotatably mounted on a roller support. A slave roller having a core and a cylindrical tube disposed over the core is mounted to the frame so that the slave roller is spaced and parallel to the roll. A torsion spring is secured to and between the core and the tube so that, as the tube rotates relative to the core, the spring is wound. The strip of cleaning material is wound in between the roll and slave roller so that, upon rotation of the first roller in a first rotational direction, the cleaning material is unwound from the slave roller onto the roll while simultaneously winding the torsion spring. Upon disengagement of the first roller from the cleaning surface, the torsion spring rotatably drives the slave roller and rewinds the portion of the strip around the tube.

  • Patent number: 7124991
Abstract: A lighting and transport system includes a cabinet having an interior with an access panel that can be opened and closed for enabling a user to access the interior when the panel is open. The interior has a plurality of receptacles that include at least one vertically extending tall receptacle that is about as tall as the cabinet. A larger receptacle is provided that is shorter than the vertically extending tall receptacle and a plurality of smaller receptacles are provided that are each smaller in volume than the larger receptacle. At least one tripod is provided that is sized and shaped to be stored inside the cabinet within the tall receptacle. A plurality of electric lighting units are sized and shaped to be contained with the smaller receptacles.

  • Patent number: 7017741
Abstract: The present invention discloses a pressurized gas canister transport apparatus and a method of use. The apparatus includes a frame that is specially configured to carry a plurality of generally cylindrically shaped pressurized gas canisters. The frame features upper and lower panels that are connected to a central panel, the central panel providing structural reinforcement and also separating selected canisters from one another, such as oxygen canisters from canisters containing combustible materials. A clamping arrangement is provided for safely holding the canisters in position. In addition, should the canisters become dislodged from their clamps, an additional safety arrangement is provided in the form of railings that are transversely extending and which span between corner columns of the frame to prevent escape of canisters even if they become dislodged from their clamps.

  • Patent number: 6935390
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for fluid transfer between a fixed marine production platform and a work vessel (eg. jack up barge). The method includes positioning the work vessel next to the production platform and then adjusting the elevational position of the vessel relative to the production platform so that the deck of the production platform and the deck of the work vessel or at about the same elevational position. A bridge truss spans between the deck portions of the production platform and work vessel, the truss having interconnected truss members and a planar surface that enables flexible hoses to be supported by the truss. The truss further includes a plurality of piping spool pieces that span across the truss. Ends of the spool pieces have quick connect fittings that enable the spool pieces to be quickly connected to the piping system of the production platform and work vessel. The gap between the production platform and the work vessel are spanned with the truss.

  • Patent number: 6003662
Abstract: A support for the guide rail of a conveyor which enables the guide rail to be adjusted among a plurality of pre-set positions in a quick and simple manner with precision. The guide rail is supported by a generally horizontal support arm which is supported by a vertical post on the frame of the conveyor alongside the conveyor belt. The arm has a series of notches or receptacles along the underside of its length and the post has a stop member having a latch adapted to engage in the receptacles. The stop member is a cap telescopically engaged on the post and biased upwardly by a spring. The cap includes latch portions facing upwardly adapted to engage in the notches on the arm.

  • Patent number: 5927480
Abstract: A support for the guide rail of a conveyor which enables the guide rail to be adjusted among a plurality of pre-set positions in a quick and simple manner with precision. The guide rail is supported by a generally horizontal support post which is supported by a vertical stanchion on the frame of the conveyor alongside the conveyor belt. The post has a latch pin and is mounted for slidable axial movement in the stanchion and is axially biased to urge the latch pin toward the stanchion. The stop member comprises a hollow cylindrical member slidably and rotatably mounted on the post between the pin and the stanchion. The end of the stop member confronting the latch pin has a plurality of receptacles to receive the latch pin, the axial depth of the receptacles are different to provide different positions for the post and thereby the guide rail.
