  • Publication number: 20240351040
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for containing and dispensing reagent into a microfluidic cartridge for use in sample-to-answer or point-of-care instruments. The apparatus contains a reagent dispensing unit, such as a reagent blister. The blister can contain one or more vessels for containment of reagents and a rupturable seal that blocks the flow of reagent from the reagent blister through an interface and into the microfluidic cartridge.

  • Patent number: 12127074
Abstract: In some implementations, a first computing device can send notifications at times that the first computing device is not in an expected location. A user of a second computing device can remotely configure an expected location for the first computing device, which may be a particular location for a certain period of time. During that time, the first computing device can monitor its own location and check whether it is within the expected location. If the first computing device unexpectedly leaves or fails to enter the expected location, the first computing device may transmit a notification to the second computing device. Similarly, if the first computing device loses connectivity with other devices, a server device may notify the second computing device that the location of the first computing device cannot be determined.

  • Publication number: 20100072023
Abstract: A bill-receiving apparatus includes a shell, a front cover, a bill-feeding mechanism and a sensor assembly. The front cover is attached to a front side of the shell. The front cover includes a slot through which a bill can be inserted into the shell. The bill-feeding mechanism can feed the bill. The bill-feeding mechanism includes two pulley-belt modules each mounted on a side of the shell. The sensor assembly includes an upper sensor box and a lower sensor box. Each of the upper and lower sensor boxes includes a control board, a protective element and a body. At least one sensor is mounted on the control board. The protective element includes at least one bubble enclosing the at least one sensor. The body includes at least one window in which the at least one bubble is disposed.

  • Publication number: 20100059328
Abstract: A bill-receiving apparatus includes a shell, a front cover, a sensor assembly, a bill-feeding mechanism and a detachable rear cover unit. The shell includes two lateral walls each including a cutout defined in a rear edge. The cutout includes a narrowed mouth. The front cover is attached to a front side of the shell. The front cover includes a slot through a bill can be inserted. The sensor assembly is arranged behind the front cover and used to detect the bill. The bill-feeding mechanism feeds the bill under the control of the sensor assembly. The detachable rear cover unit includes two flank walls and two detents elastically attached to the flank walls. Each detent includes a rod for trapping in a related one of the cutouts and a tip for moving from a related one of the cutouts through the mouth.

  • Patent number: 6877599
Abstract: A paper currency receiving apparatus includes a body with a bill-receiving opening in a front end thereof, a detecting device mounted in the body and defining a bill passage through which a bill inserted into the bill-receiving opening passes, and a bill-collecting box for receiving the bill. The genuineness of the bill is discriminated by the detecting device. In a case that a fraud operation is attempted by bonding an end of a string to a side of the bill and inserting the bill into the bill-receiving opening, the string is severed by one of a plurality of cutting edges on the detecting device.
