  • Patent number: 12631634
Abstract: Materials and methods for detecting NTRK rearrangements via affinity staining. Samples are stained with a biomarker-specific reagent (such as an antibody) that binds to a retained portion of TrkA, TrkB, and/or TrkC. The staining pattern is evaluated, and the presence of a Trk fusion is determined by detecting whether or not the sample has at least a threshold number of cells having a threshold staining intensity. In some cases, the same scoring methodology is applied regardless of the staining localization pattern. In other cases, a cytoplasmic and/or membranous localization is scored by a first methodology, whereas a nuclear localization is scored by a second methodology. The methods disclosed herein may be applied across non-endocrine solid tumor types.

  • Publication number: 20260125170
Abstract: A method and system for forming a package that addresses operational challenges in container packaging systems. A packaging machine may include a conveyance system that provides continuous blank transport through multiple processing stages. The system may include pre-break stages that prepare fold lines in the blank for subsequent folding operations. Leading edge manipulators may include mechanical elements with finger-like protrusions and biasing mechanisms for controlled pressure application. Trailing edge cam assemblies may include dynamic cams with engagement points mounted on rotatable shafts driven by servo motors. • Patent number: 11548254
Abstract: A carton feeding and shuttle machine includes first and second servo drives for driving first and second belts positioned on a plurality of pulleys, a first block attached to the first belt and supporting a first support shaft and a second block attached to the second belt and supporting a second support shaft. A controller controls the servo drives for driving the first and second belts. A linkage assembly includes a plurality of links configured to move a plucking head along a shaft in response to movements of the first and second belts. Specifically, relative movement of the first and second belts pivots first and third links about a first support shaft and second and fourth links about a second support shaft drawing a base along a slide shaft and extending the plucking head from a first position to a second position for engaging a carton blank in a carton blank stack.

  • Patent number: 6578013
Abstract: A system includes a computing device for storing criteria under which a customer is authorized to purchase a physical item. The computing device receives a request from the customer. In response to the request satisfying the stored criteria, the computing device outputs a signal for purchasing the physical item. The stored criteria may include a monetary budget for purchasing the physical item. The computing device is for modifying the stored criteria to reduce the monetary budget in response to the signal.

  • Patent number: 6029213
Abstract: An automatic IR port detection device is provided in a portable computer including a first and a second transceiver data port. An external device is adjacent the computer and includes at least one external transceiver data port. An IR port detection and scanning program in the computer is actuated by an initiating key combination. A controller in the computer generates a systems management interrupt in response to the initiating key combination being actuated. An IR scan timer is initiated in response to the systems management interrupt being generated. A system BIOS in the computer actuates the first transceiver data port to scan for an external IR signal and sequentially actuates the second transceiver data port to scan for the external IR signal in response to the absence of the external IR signal received by the first transceiver data port.

  • Patent number: 5893048
Abstract: The vibration level of a CD-ROM disc is determined in a computer system by installing the disc onto the disc drive. The disc is spun on the disc drive up to an identification speed. The table of contents on the disc is read to determine by disc serial number that the disc is a data disc. Also, the serial number is compared with a file stored in memory to determine that the data disc has been previously tested. The system memory also provides testing information indicating a speed for operating the identified disc without noticeable vibration. The disc drive then operates the identified disc at the indicated speed.

  • Patent number: 5832282
Abstract: Apparatus and method for insuring that a computer is in battery swap mode before a battery thereof is hot swapped by a user is described. A switch is located under the battery receptacle cover, which switch is actuated by the removal of the battery receptacle cover in an amount sufficient to expose the switch. Actuation of the switch generates a battery swap mode ("BSM") signal to the CPU, causing the computer to operate in battery swap mode, at which point the battery may be safely removed without risk of losing data stored in DRAM.

  • Patent number: 3991370
Abstract: A system for limiting the amplitude of electrical signals applied thereto includes a first feedback loop for reducing the gain of an amplifier to which the input signal is applied and a second feedback loop for providing a frequency dependent signal for returning the amplifier to its original gain. The time which is required for the amplifier to return to its original gain is dependent upon the frequency of the audio signal and the amplifier gain is restored to one of a plurality of fixed rates.
