Abstract: One possible embodiment of the present invention could be a cover for sealing a ceiling-mounted HVAC vent comprising of a rectangular base with several edges; several rectangular cover walls, each cover wall being attached to a respective edge, the base and cover walls being originally arranged in a cruciform shape; wherein the cover walls provide a force fit upon the interior sides of a framework of a ceiling mounted HVAC vent to hold the cover in place within the hollow interior of the framework.

Abstract: One possible of the embodiment could be a toe-kick air outlet cover comprising of a body having at least three walls and a four-edged cover plate; the walls are attached to three respective and continuous edges of the four-edged cover plate to generally form a continuous wall structure; a bar, the bar being connected to the continuous wall structure; wherein the body further forms an open bottom and an open side, with the open bottom being placed over a toe kick airway and the open side being placed against a toe kick ventilator to continuously connect the airway to the ventilator.

Abstract: One possible embodiment of the invention could be a construction ventilation cover for HVAC air outlets comprising of a body, the body having a top cover, the top cover having a top and a bottom; a box support attached to the bottom, wherein the box support is sized and shaped to fit snugly within a HVAC air outlet with at least a portion of the unattached bottom making contact with at least a portion of the surrounding structure defining the air outlet. Another version of this invention could be a ventilation register that is modified to have the register's movable louvers, adjusting lever and linkage removed; a lid added to cover the register's grill; and a peripheral flange extension added to the bottom portion of the register.

Abstract: One possible embodiment of the invention could be a protective construction ventilation register and a methodology of operating same. One possible version of the register could comprise of a framework having a peripheral flange attached to an overlying flange, the peripheral flange further defining an air passage; a grid work attached to the overlying flange and located within at least a portion of the air passage; a set of two flexible flaps overlaying the grid work, each flap having an attached edge securing the flap to the overlying flange and unattached edge; a set of deflectors located under grid work that directs the forced air from the underneath the grid work towards unattached edges; wherein the flaps can move from a first closed position covering the grid work to a second open position that has an angle that is less then perpendicular to the plane of the overlying flange.
