  • Patent number: 12545006
Abstract: An isotropic electrically conductive composite is disclosed. The composite can include a dielectric polymer material with a polarizable material substantially dispersed within the dielectric polymer material, wherein the polarizable material is configured to be polarized and to provide a polar discharge response, and a continuous conductive material substantially covered by the dielectric polymer material, wherein the continuous conductive material extends substantially throughout the dielectric polymer material and is configured to be responsive to the polar discharge response, wherein the isotropic electrically conductive composite is non-aqueous.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2024
Date of Patent: February 10, 2026
    Assignee: FLEXCON COMPANY, INC.
Inventors: James Casey, Richard Skov, Kenneth Burnham, Patrice Mariucci, Pamela Fitzgerald, John Pennace

  • Publication number: 20080178929
Abstract: A laminate of dielectric materials is disclosed for use in protecting an electronic device. The laminate includes at least one layer of a polymeric material having an active material dispersed within the polymeric material and having a first thickness. The active material is responsive to external electric fields such that a higher voltage external electric field may be applied to one side of the laminate without any voltage passing through the laminate than a maximum voltage that could be applied to the laminate without passing through the laminate when the active material is not present within the polymeric material having the first thickness.

  • Publication number: 20070298203
Abstract: A composite is disclosed for use in electro-luminescent devices. The composite includes polymeric material having a first surface energy, and phosphorescent material dispersed within said polymeric material. The phosphorescent material has a second surface energy, said first and second surface energies are each between about 32 dynes/cm and 46 about dynes/cm. The polymeric material has a moisture vapor transmission rate of at least one gram/100 sq. inches for a 24 hour period at 100° F. for a one mil thick barrier.
