  • Publication number: 20260157779
Abstract: A femoral neck trochanteric nail makes use of a dual, lag-screw/anti-rotation screw assembly to provide two, spaced fixation points locatable across a femoral neck in conjunction with a corresponding hip procedure. The anti-rotation screw may be advanced through a bore in the lag screw after the lag screw has been suitably fixed to a trochanteric nail received at an intramedullary location. The lag screw and anti-rotation screw construct may be oriented in different positions to have corresponding fixation points at different angular locations after fixation.

  • Patent number: 12617350
Abstract: The invention is directed to a clip for holding articles includes a main body having a first body portion and a second body portion mounted to undergo pivotal movement relative to the first body portion for selectively positioning the clip between an open state and a closed state. The first state of the clip is configured to allow an article to be positioned between the first and second body portions, and the closed state of the article is configured to securely hold the article between the first and second body portions. A biasing member is mounted between the first and second body portions for biasing the clip to the closed state. The clip is configured for placement in the open state by pivotal movement of the first body portion relative to the second body portion against the biasing force of the biasing member. The invention is also directed to a sun visor assembly equipped with the clip.

  • Publication number: 20250255654
Abstract: A trochanteric nailing system makes use of a lag screw operatively connectable to a trochanteric nail. The lag screw has a helical thread disposed over a suitable surgical length on the outer surface of the shaft of the lag screw. The helical thread includes undercuts formed therein to improve resistance to cutout or lag screw migration. The lag screw may also include a variable-width thread to improve fixation and resistance to migration or cut out. Helical flutes reduce torque forces exerted on bone during insertion, while maintaining the improved fixation of other features about the entire circumference of the lag screw. The lag screw may also be equipped with tapered set screw grooves which engaging opposing portions of a set screw of the trochanteric nail when received therein to resist migration or cutout.

  • Patent number: 12190467
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for modifying parametric continuity between portions of a digital image in piecewise parametric patch deformations. For example, the disclosed system determine parametric patches in a parametric quilt corresponding to a digital image in response to a request to deform the digital image. The disclosed system divides the digital image into a plurality of separate portions along edges of the parametric patches, each parametric patch comprising a separate set of control points. The disclosed system generates sets of interactive handles for each anchor control point in the parametric patch corresponding to metadata flags that determine parametric continuities between portions of the digital image. Additionally, in response to a user input, the disclosed system modifies the parametric continuity at a portion of the digital image corresponding to an anchor control point by modifying a metadata flag for the control point.

  • Publication number: 20240169477
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for warping artwork. The artwork is warped to fit an existing image of a cylinder. A method of warping artwork may include receiving a request to wrap an image onto a cylindrical surface. In response to the request, a set of adjacent warping patches are generated. The set of adjacent warping patches includes a first zero-width patch corresponding to a left edge of the image and a second zero-width patch corresponding to a right edge of the image. The image is mapped to the set of adjacent warping patches based on a viewing perspective of the cylindrical surface. User control handles are provided to adjust the warp to fit the existing image of the cylinder, including its position, curvature, and perspective.

  • Patent number: 11842430
Abstract: Systems and methods for segmenting scan data are disclosed. The methods include creating a graph from scan data representing a plurality of points in an environment associated with a ground and one or more objects, where the graph includes a plurality of vertices corresponding to the plurality of points in the environment, a first terminal vertex associated with the ground label, and a second terminal vertex associated with the non-ground label. A unary potential being the cost of assigning a vertex to a ground label or a non-ground label is assigned to each vertex, and a pairwise potential is assigned to each pair of neighboring vertices in the graph as a measure of a cost of assigning different labels. The methods include using the unary the pairwise potentials to identify labels for each point and segmenting the scan data to identify points associated with the ground.

  • Publication number: 20230298089
Abstract: The present inventive solution relates to facilitating purchasing of products and services that appear in video content, for increasing conversion rates to sales. A video player accesses a video and timestamped metadata relating to the content of the video. A Graphical User Interaction module uses them to create a purchase facilitator, which is rendered by a video renderer onto the video content. A purchase manager receives the purchase facilitator and a user's purchase command, and services the purchase command, which is associated with the purchase facilitator, by contacting an e-commerce platform. The GUI module receives from the e-commerce platform and feeds to the video renderer a description, a price, and payment instructions for the product associated with the purchase command. In another exemplary embodiment, the purchase manager creates a set of purchase commands equal to the number of products contained in the video.
