  • Patent number: 10092296
Abstract: A hand-operable surgical clip applicator (10) including a barrel (12) having a first end (14) and a second end (16), the second end formed to accommodate a surgical clip, a crimping lever (20) pivotally connected at the second end of the barrel, and a trigger (28) co-located with the barrel, the trigger being operable to pivot the crimping lever, the pivoting movement of the crimping lever causing the surgical clip to be urged from an open position to a closed position, wherein the trigger has an operating portion on either side of the barrel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2015
Date of Patent: October 9, 2018
    Assignee: FEMCARE-NIKOMED LIMITED

  • Patent number: 8800554
Abstract: A dry powder inhaler comprises at least one medicament reservoir and a closure member engaged with the reservoir so as to close an opening therein. A surface of the reservoir adjacent the opening and a surface of the closure member are in abutment, either directly or via a seal member interposed between the reservoir and the closure member. At least one abutting surface is formed with a projection that increases the contact pressure between said surfaces, thereby improving the seal between them and reducing the potential for ingress of moisture between said surfaces into the reservoir.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 12, 2009
Date of Patent: August 12, 2014
    Assignee: Innovata Biomed Limited
Inventors: James Gordon, Andrew Paul Morris, Philip Carl Parkes, Robert Andrew Rudge, Douglas Robert Saunders Bradshaw, John Philip Briant, Adrian John Streeter

  • Publication number: 20110120464
Abstract: A dry powder inhaler comprises at least one medicament reservoir containing a bulk quantity of a powdered medicament, and a metering mechanism by which unit doses of said medicament can be dispensed from the medicament reservoir for inhalation by a user of the inhaler. The at least one medicament reservoir is formed in polyester material. Penetration of moisture through the walls of the medicament reservoir is considerably reduced.
