  • Patent number: 7712150
Abstract: A protective pad assembly for releasably attaching to a garment, comprises a flexible inner member provided to be disposed inside the garment, an outer member provided to be disposed outside the garment and a securing device provided for releasably attaching the outer member to the inner member. The outer member further includes an outer protective pad. The securing device includes an inner magnetically attractive element attached to the inner member and an outer magnetically attractive element attached to the outer member. The outer magnetically attractive element and the inner magnetically attractive element are magnetically attractable to each other so as to hold the protective pad assembly in place on the garment. Moreover, one of the inner magnetically attractive element and the outer magnetically attractive element is a magnet.

  • Patent number: 7537508
Abstract: A model rocket and launch system in which a rocket is launched by combustion produced from a mixture of water and calcium carbide. The water and calcium carbide are combined in a mixing container and launch tube and create a combustible gas. The container and launch tube incorporates a spark chamber consisting of a spark element device and electrode. Both the rocket body tube and launch tube includes a conductive coupling device and is designed to be co-dependent of each other in order to complete an electrical circuit for ignition purposes. The launch tube conductive coupling device and is electrically connected to a spark element device. Electrical current is sent to the spark element device and electrode when the electrical current provided from a high voltage generator passes through both the model rocket unit and the launch system unit via the combined conductive coupling devices.

  • Publication number: 20070157767
Abstract: A powered adjustable jaw wrench comprises a wrench body having a handle portion and a head portion defining a stationary jaw, a movable jaw reciprocally mounted to the head portion, a driven mechanism operably connected to the movable jaw, and a drive mechanism mounted to the body member and including a power source and an indexing mechanism. The driven mechanism includes a worm driving the movable jaw and an indexing wheel operably connected to the worm gear. The indexing mechanism is driven by the power source and includes an oscillating pallet member. The pallet member incrementally drives the indexing wheel so as to convert an oscillating movement of the pallet member into an incremental rotatable movement of the indexing wheel.

  • Publication number: 20060230884
Abstract: An adjustable wrench comprising a moveable jaw, a stationary jaw, and a worm gear driving the moveable jaw. The worm gear is, in turn, meshed with a rack of the moveable jaw and is driven by a reversible servomotor. Activation of the servomotor produces linear reciprocating motion of the moveable jaw. The adjustable wrench further includes a positioning device provided for limiting a travel of the moveable jaw in at least one direction away from or toward the stationary jaw. Preferably, the positioning device includes a first preset stop for limiting a travel of the moveable jaw in the direction toward the stationary jaw to define an inward limit of travel of the moveable jaw and a second preset stop for limiting a travel of the moveable jaw the directions away from the stationary jaw to define an outward limit of travel of the moveable jaw.

  • Patent number: 7114824
Abstract: A multi-functional tool comprising an extendable power tool handle unit with an interchangeable connect feature able to receive and power various size interchangeable, adaptable adjustable wrench head units and other adaptable tool attachments. The interchangeable wrench head units are easily connected and disconnected to the power tool handle unit. Each interchangeable adjustable wrench head unit has a self-contained transmission connectible to and powered by the adaptive power handle unit. The interchangeable wrench head units comprise of a moveable jaw, a stationary jaw, and a worm gear. The worm gear is meshed with a rack of the moveable jaw and the worm gear is driven by a motor and transmission. Activation of the motor produces linear reciprocating motion of the adjustable jaw. A power source from the handle provides the power to a control switch. The switch controls the function of the adjustable wrench heads and other powered tool attachments.

  • Patent number: 4782730
Abstract: A gasket cutting assembly for cutting an inner diameter and an outer diameter of a gasket simultaneously. The assembly has a rectangular bar base portion with a longitudinal slot therein and a blade at one end. An L-shaped adapter arm with a second blade at the L-shaped end also has a longitudinal slot and the arm and base are attached to one another by a bolt through the longitudinal slots. Graduations on the base and arm facilitate settings of the blades for cutting the internal and outside diameters of a gasket simultaneously.
