  • Patent number: 10500409
Abstract: Examples of systems and methods for providing alternating magnetic field therapy are provided. One example method includes the steps of positioning a target proximate to a first end of an alternating magnetic field (AMF) head, the AMF head comprising an electrical coil and a ferromagnetic core, the electrical coil having a substantially circular cross-section that is substantially centered on a first axis, the AMF head having the first end corresponding to a first end of the coil and a second end corresponding to a second end of the coil; generating and transmitting an alternating current (AC) signal to the AMF head; determining a temperature of the target based on a sensor signal from a temperature sensor; in response to determining the temperature, modifying the AC signal based on a difference between the temperature and a predetermined target temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070017506
Abstract: A dispenser (1) comprising a housing (3), a pressure sensor (22), processing means (23) and a display means (27), the housing being shaped for receiving, in use, a dispensing container (5) of the type containing medicament and having valve means for dispensing the medicament in metered volume doses, wherein, in use, the pressure sensor is capable of detecting a pressure signature produced on dispensation of medicament from the dispensing container, wherein the pressure sensor is operatively connected to the processing means for relaying signals indicative of the pressure signature for processing by the processing means, the processing means being programmed to analyse said signals and compare said signals against one or more data sets containing data indicative of one or more control pressure signatures, the processing means being programmed to use a result of said comparison to detect the quantity of medicament dispensed compared to an intended volume of the metered dose volume.

  • Patent number: 6577042
Abstract: A control system for a probe, including a transmission member, comprises a power source for supplying a constant power to a transmission member and a transducer for coupling the constant power to the transmission member and for providing a mechanical output to the transmission member at a frequency. A frequency measuring device is also provided for constantly measuring the frequency of the mechanical output of the transducer. A current monitoring device for measuring current forwarded to the transducer which monitors the current while the frequency of said mechanical output is varied until it is determined at what frequency the current is at a maximum is also provided. A method for implementing this apparatus is also provided.
