  • Publication number: 20250144685
Abstract: An embossed piece of sheet steel including a piece of sheet steel having a first side and an opposing second side, a first plurality of indentations formed on the first side of the piece of sheet steel and a second plurality of indentations formed on the opposing second side of the piece of sheet steel. The first plurality of indentations is formed in a pattern along equally spaced parallel rows and equally spaced perpendicular intersecting columns. The indentations of the first plurality of indentations are positioned along each row at alternating intersections with the columns and each adjacent row having the indentations at alternating intersections offset by one column. The second plurality of indentations is formed in a pattern along equally spaced parallel rows and equally spaced perpendicular intersecting columns.

  • Patent number: 12290637
Abstract: A gas therapy system (1) has a flow line (3, 2), a coupler (6) to a gas source, and an aerosol generator (4) for aerosol delivery, and a patient interface such as a nasal interface (2). A controller (10) is configured to modulate gas flow and aerosol delivery in real time. The controller changes gas flow rate and dynamically reduces aerosol delivery during upper gas flow rates such as 60 LPM, and activates aerosol delivery during lower gas flow rates of for example 10 LPM. The control may also include sensors to detect breathing, so that there is a bias towards increased aerosol delivery during inhalation in addition to during lower level gas flow.

  • Patent number: 12283911
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for braking a translator of a linear multiphase electromagnetic machine. The system detects a fault event. A polarity indicative of an electromotive force in determined in at least one phase of the linear multiphase electromagnetic machine caused by a motion of the translator. In response to detecting the fault event, the system causes, based on the polarity, a current to be applied to a respective phase of the at least one phase to cause a force acting on the translator that opposes an axial motion of the translator to cause the translator to brake. Braking includes causing the translator to reciprocate at a reduced velocity by opposing axial motion over one or more cycles. The system may use one or more of position information, current information, operating parameters, to brake, or may brake the translator independent of such information.

  • Patent number: 12182578
Abstract: Shared function execution mitigates cold start penalties for execution units. When a serverless platform receives a request, the request is performed when the serverless platform has a warm execution unit for the request. If a warm execution unit is not available or running, the serverless platform may send the request to another serverless platform rather than cold start an execution unit. The cold start is performed when the warm execution unit is not available at other platforms.

  • Patent number: 12138382
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus is for use by users to take a chamber, fill the chamber with an aerosolized vaccine or other medicament, and dispose of used chambers. A display provides instructions to encourage prompt inhalation by the user from a dispensed and filled chamber. The apparatus allows very fast administration of vaccines to large numbers of people. The aerosol dispenser apparatus detects the chamber is in correct position and delivers a pre-determined dose of aerosol. Once the dose is delivered a visual and/or audible indicator informs the user that the chamber is filled and that they can take the inhalation. The single dose aerosol chamber is optimized for efficient administration of an aerosol.

  • Publication number: 20230198367
Abstract: A linear electromagnetic machine includes a stator, a translator, and a bearing system. The bearing system maintains alignment against lateral displacement of the translator relative to the stator, as the translator reciprocates axially. More particularly, the bearing system maintains a motor air gap between the stator and a magnetic section of the translator. The stator includes a plurality of stator teeth and windings, which form a plurality of phases. The stator teeth and windings are arranged using a hoop stack with spines to form a stator bore and define the motor air gap. The bearing system can include bearing housings that are configured to form a bearing interface with a surface of the translator. The bearing interface can include a contact bearing or a non-contact bearing, such as a gas bearing. Current is controlled in the phases to convert between electrical energy and kinetic energy of the translator.

  • Patent number: 11652432
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for braking a translator of a linear multiphase electromagnetic machine. The system detects a fault event, and in response to detecting the fault event, causes the translator to brake using an electromagnetic technique. Braking includes causing the translator to stop reciprocating, by applying a force opposing an axial motion, which may occur within one cycle, or over many cycles. The fault event may include, for example, a fault associated with an encoder, a controller, an electrical component, a communications link, a phase, or a subsystem. The system includes a power electronics system configured to apply current to the phases. The system may use position information, current information, operating parameters, or a combination thereof to brake. Alternatively, the system need not use position information, current information, and operating parameters, and may brake the translator independent of such information.
