  • Patent number: 10687584
Abstract: A comfortable overshoe that can be worn over various types of footwear has a flexible, resilient sole and means for releasably attaching the overshoe to a boot or other footwear. The sole has a flexible, generally planar, medial wall, with a plurality of hollow domes formed in and extending from the top side of the medial wall. A plurality of triradial support members extend from the bottom of the medial wall and are spaced around the underside of each dome.

  • Publication number: 20190139413
Abstract: An anti-collision warning system for intersections includes a vehicle sensor adapted to detect an approaching vehicle; two or more warning strips, which contain signal-activated warning lights and function as gentle, but effective, speed bumps to approaching vehicles; and a controller coupled to the sensor and to the warning strips. The system is internally and/or externally powered and can be installed in a warehouse, factory, or other venue having an intersection where a vehicle path meets a pedestrian path, or where two vehicle paths meet. An improved warning strip/speed bump, adapted for use in the anti-collision warning system, includes an elongate member, preferably trapezoidal in cross-section, with an elevated upper face or top, opposed first and second ramp faces that converge toward the upper face, and a bottom face; a pair of longitudinal channel in the bottom of the member; and a plurality of LEDs secured within the channels.

  • Publication number: 20140186569
Abstract: A floor mat for preventing slipping on a floor surface comprises a mat resting on a floor surface, a cover sheet placed on the top surface of the mat and a securing mechanism designed to secure the cover sheet to the mat. The mat includes the top surface, a bottom surface, a first pair of opposing edges and a second pair of opposing edges. The cover sheet also includes a first pair of opposing edges and a second pair of opposing edges. Each of the first pair of opposing edges of the mat and each of the second pair of opposing edges of the mat are arranged orthogonally to provide a flat shape to the mat. The securing mechanism is adaptable to securely hold the mat and the cover sheet together without relative movement between the mat and the cover sheet.

  • Patent number: 5456966
Abstract: A floor mat is provided with a generally flat upper wall with a multitude of y-shaped ribs extending vertically downward from the upper wall to a floor surface, supporting the mat. Each of the y-shaped ribs has a solid central core with three legs which extend horizontally radially outward from the core. The distal end of each of the legs is bulbously enlarged. The ribs are spaced apart in a symmetrical pattern so that two sides of three adjacent ribs cooperatively define a generally cylindrical pocket. The pocket, while forming an enclosure, nevertheless had lateral openings at three equally spaced locations formed by the ends of each of two adjacent ribs being spaced slightly apart allowing for ingress and egress of air from the pocket. Located above the center of each pocket is a hollow dome formed in the upper wall.
