  • Patent number: 7725402
Abstract: A system and method for booking a performance venue. The system comprises a booking engine enabling communication between at least two of a performer, a consumer, and a venue agent, the at least two of a performer, a consumer, and a venue agent using at least one client station connected to the booking engine over a communications link. The system also comprises a market module associated with the booking engine for selling performer endorsement entities to at least one consumer and for selecting a particular venue from a group of at least one venue.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 1, 2002
Date of Patent: May 25, 2010
    Inventor: John R. Booth
  • Publication number: 20090203142
Abstract: An isolated nucleic acid fragment encoding a diverged delta-9 fatty acid desaturase is disclosed. Also the construction of a chimeric gene encoding all or a portion of the diverged delta-9 fatty acid desaturase is disclosed, in sense or antisense orientation, wherein expression of the chimeric gene results in production of altered levels of the diverged delta-9 fatty acid desaturase in a transformed host cell.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 22, 2009
    Publication date: August 13, 2009
Inventors: John R. Booth, Rebecca E. Cahoon, William D. Hitz, Anthony J. Kinney, Narendra S. Yadav

  • Patent number: 6359681
Abstract: In a FLIR/laser based targeting and imaging system, the ability to recognize, detect, locate, and/or track targets in an area of interest is significantly improved by reducing the fixed and dynamic alignment errors between the IR LOS and the laser LOS. Fixed alignment errors are reduced with an improved internal boresight module and corresponding boresight method. Dynamic alignment errors are reduced with an opto-electric subsystem that employs a single pitch bearing and a common pitch/yaw afocal for both the laser energy and the IR energy. A segmented window in the system housing includes a circular EMI grid pattern which significantly reduces the amount of off-axis EMI entering the optical pathways, and improved signal processing techniques are employed to enhance the quality of the IR image after the image has been digitized.
