  • Patent number: 11975812
Abstract: A stern drive is for propelling a marine vessel in water. The stern drive has an upper drive unit with a lower mounting surface; a lower gearcase coupled to the lower mounting surface and a trailing end surface that is angled relative to the lower mounting surface; and a propeller shaft extending forwardly from the lower gearcase and being configured to rotate a propeller for pulling the marine vessel in the water. The upper drive unit and the lower gearcase are configured such that when a forward side of the lower gearcase impacts an underwater obstruction, the lower gearcase is caused to pivot relative to the upper drive unit until the trailing end surface impacts the lower mounting surface, which thereby causes the lower gearcase to completely uncouple from the upper drive unit.

  • Publication number: 20190298941
Abstract: A system for setting a medically prescribed treatment regime on a hand held inhalator device is disclosed that includes the hand held inhalator device having a transmitter/receiver configured to receive data from a medical practitioner device and send data to the medical practitioner device as well as a trigger configured to dispense medication from a medication source into a chamber of the inhalator device after a threshold level of positive pressure is achieved within the chamber and maintained for a predetermined period of time. A medical practitioner application programming interface is used to configure the predetermined period of time and the second threshold level of positive pressure of the hand held inhalator device required to actuate the trigger and dispense medication.

  • Patent number: 10406305
Abstract: A hand-held, portable inhalator device is disclosed. The device has a mouthpiece with a chamber operatively coupled to a medication inlet and a fluid outlet. A valve is disposed about the fluid outlet and is configured to open when subjected to a first threshold level of positive pressure permitting egress of fluid from the chamber. A trigger is configured to dispense medication from a medication source through the medication inlet and into the chamber after a second threshold level of positive pressure is achieved within the chamber of the mouthpiece and maintained for a threshold period of time.

  • Patent number: 10271743
Abstract: A system for facilitating measurement of a person's blood pressure. The system has a cuff that is configured to: a) be operatively situated in relationship to a person's arm; and b) strategically exert pressure on the person's arm to controllably restrict blood flow therein. An arm positioning assembly is configured to be operatively engaged by a hand on the person's arm to consistently place the person's arm in relationship to the cuff with the cuff operatively situated in relationship to the person's arm as a blood pressure measurement is taken.
