  • Patent number: 10496234
Abstract: An improved system and method for modeling the data paths amongst the multiple avionic components inside an aircraft is described. A graphical user interface (GUI) operable to depict an interactive environment representing avionic components and data paths between the avionic components is generated, where the graphical user interface depicts a representation of an input, output, and operation associated with the avionic components. Using the GUI, data indicative of the input, output, and operation is received. The data is stored in a machine readable form, and translated into binary form usable to control on-aircraft communication between the avionic components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 19, 2016
Date of Patent: December 3, 2019
    Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANY
Inventors: Brittany A. Friedland, Robert L. Malone, John R. Herrold, Gregory P. Green
