Abstract: A lighted ball having high velocity bounce capability which comprises a solid spherical body of soft, pliable, transparent rubber having a plurality of LEDs embedded in the body. An electrical switch with push button action is embedded in the body and connected in circuit with a battery set for energizing the LEDs. The removable closure is provided in a battery passage. A switch access passage extends from the switch actuator to the surface of the body.

Abstract: A lighted hoop and a kit for making a lighted hoop are disclosed for use as an amusement or exercise device. The lighted hoop having a tubular member with the ends joined to form a hoop by a coupling member having opposite ends in telescopic relation with the tube. A lighting circuit extends into the tube and includes a plurality of LEDs. The coupling member includes a battery compartment with battery contacts and a switch is mounted on the coupling member and connects the lighting circuit with the battery contacts.

Abstract: An electrically lighted jump rope is disclosed with a flexible tube of light transmitting material and handles rotatably mounted thereon at each end. A tube fitting and handle fitting at each end are coupled together for rotation relative to each other about an axis of rotation extending axially of the tube. A battery is disposed in one of the handles and a lighting circuit including a plurality of LEDs extends into the tube. The battery is connected to the lighting circuit through brushes and slip rings on the tube and handle fittings.

Abstract: An extendible boot is provided with an upper having a base portion and an extendible portion. The extendible portion comprises a flexible sleeve joined to the base portion by a peripherally extending joint. The sleeve is rollable from its upper end to form an annular roll at the joint to provide an unextended boot. The sleeve is unrollable from the annular roll to a higher position and thereby provides an extended boot. A cuff has a fixed end connected with one of the portions in the vicinity of the joint and is adapted to be folded over the annular roll. A hook and loop fastener or a snap fastener is provided to hold the cuff in its folded position to retain and conceal the annular roll of the sleeve.
