  • Patent number: 6959782
Abstract: A tuned exhaust system for small two cylinder engines, the exhaust system including a pair of exhaust passage through which exhaust gasses pass. The exhaust passages are dimensioned to providing a tuning effect to the exhaust gasses for enhanced engine performance. The exhaust passages are not straight and elongated, but rather are sprialed, scrolled, coiled, or otherwise folded upon themselves at least twice. In this manner, the exhaust passages may be housed at least in part within a muffler having a significantly reduced overall size or profile, such that the muffler may be used in small engines.

  • Publication number: 20020162525
Abstract: A lifter assembly for an internal combustion engine, including an elongate sleeve having an upper radial wall portion provided with oil feed and oil bleed holes therethrough, through which oil respectively enters and exits the lifter assembly. An elongate, hollow lifter body is reciprocatingly disposed within the sleeve, the lifter body being closed at one end thereof. A plunger is reciprocatingly disposed within the lifter body and has an internal cavity, a low pressure oil reservoir at least partially defined by the plunger internal cavity, the low pressure oil reservoir in at least periodic fluid communication with the oil feed hole, whereby oil from the oil feed hole is received into the low pressure oil reservoir. A high pressure oil reservoir is at least partially defined by the plunger and the lifter body closed end, and is in one-way fluid communication with the low pressure oil reservoir, whereby oil is received into the high pressure reservoir from the low pressure oil reservoir.

A cap is reciprocatingly disposed within the sleeve and engaged with the plunger. Seals are provided which preclude oil from exiting the lifter assembly through the ends of the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20020105969
Abstract: Methods and systems for routing messages between a core network and a radio network controller are provided. A radio access network gateway translates messages from an ATM-based protocol to a non-ATM-based protocol, such as the stream control transmission protocol and vice versa. The radio access network gateway forwards the SCTP messages to the core network. In addition, the radio access network gateway receives messages from the core network formatted according to the core network protocol and translates these messages to an ATM-based protocol for communication to a radio network controller.

  • Patent number: 4161061
Abstract: A reversible termination tool blade is removably interlocked in a slide by means of a spring loaded cam follower on the slide and a cam surface on the reversible termination blade. The blade is inserted in the slide with a rectilinear motion aligning the cam follower with the cam. A rotary motion of the blade in the slide causes the cam to pass the cam follower, capturing the cam follower behind the cam and interlocking the termination blade in the slide with the desired end of the termination blade projecting therefrom.

  • Patent number: 3948473
Abstract: A cable rack for supporting multi-cable runs constructed to obtain desired length and width using unitary rack assemblies. The unitary rack assemblies have left and right tubular side stringers and a plurality of tubular cross straps all having accessible open ends. Unitary rack assemblies may be attached end to end by insertion of connecting bars into the ends of the abutting side stringers. Unitary rack assemblies may be assembled side by side for providing a wide cable rack by utilizing cross-over members having attachment means at each end for securing to parallel unitary rack assemblies. Cross-over members provide for either staggered or aligned cross-straps in the unitary rack assembly. A wide cable rack may be provided by inverting a unitary rack assembly, placing it between two spaced parallel unitary rack assemblies, and attaching the side stringers of adjacent unitary rack assemblies.
