    Abstract: A system is provided for controlling rotation of a rotor relative to a stator of a stepping motor, linear motor, or the like. A driver pulse generating electronic device outputs driver pulses to a driver of the motor for causing discrete steps of rotation or linear movement of the rotor relative to the stator to control rotation or linear movement, direction of rotation or linear movement, and speed of rotation or linear movement of the rotor relative to the stator. The driver pulse generating electronic device is configured such that a signal proportional to a difference between a command input signal provided by a controller and an encoder signal of actual rotor position of the motor is used to determine when a next driver pulse is output from the driver pulse generating electronic device. A method is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A clutch actuating device includes an actuating cylinder having a piston, a multiplier cylinder, and at least one rod extending from the multiplier cylinder to the piston of the actuating cylinder. The actuating cylinder has a rod-side chamber and a clutch actuation chamber with the piston extending therebetween. The rod-side chamber has a port for connection to a first pressure source, and the clutch actuation chamber has a port for connection to a slave cylinder of a hydraulic clutch. A passage interconnects the rod-side chamber with the clutch actuation chamber, and a check-valve is located in the passage. The check-valve only permits flow between the rod-side chamber and the clutch actuation chamber for purposes of compensating for changes of volume of fluid due to temperature change and only when the piston is retracted to an idle position.

This results in the first and second fluid pressures (P1 and P2) acting on the piston of the actuating cylinder to produce a clutch actuation fluid pressure.

    Abstract: An improved control system for die casting or similar machines wherein a closed loop velocity feedback circuit is supplemented with an integration circuit and two filtering circuits to compensate for the frequency response of the pilot valve in the die casting machine. The integration circuit serves to more accurately cause the velocity of an element being controlled to match the desired/commanded velocity, and also caused the velocity to more rapidly match the desired/commanded velocity.
