Abstract: A chum delivery assembly for facilitating the rapid and strategic dispersement of chum along a bottom surface of a body of water in order to attract fish, the assembly including a containment member having a base, a surrounding wall surface, and an upper surface which together define an open interior chamber. The open interior chamber is structured to contain a quantity of chum therein, and a lowering line is included and structured to adjustably lower the containment member to a desired delivery location. The base of the chum delivery assembly includes a generally open configuration so as to permit the free passage of the chum therethrough from the open interior chamber, with a rigid panel being provided and disposed to selectively cover the base so as to prevent the free passage of chum through the base until desired.

Abstract: Wax-encapsulated particles having a core particle or an aggregate of core particles selected from the group of an organic peroxy acid, a diacyl peroxide, an inorganic peroxygen compound, a bleach catalyst, a peroxygen bleach precursor and mixtures thereof together with 0.01% to about 5% by weight of a surfactant. The resulting particles exhibit release rates from their capsules and dissolution rates comparable to uncoated core materials.

Abstract: A bleaching composition and method of using is provided wherein the composition comprises an effective amount for bleaching of an organic peroxyacid whose structure includes a percarboxylic and a carboxylic acid or a salt functional unit; an effective amount of manganese complex having a formula selected from the group consisting of:[LMnX.sub.3 ]Y (1)wherein Mn is manganese;X is a coordinating species selected from the group consisting of:RO.sup.-, Cl.sup.-, Br.sup.-, I.sup.-, F.sup.-, NCS.sup.-, N.sub.3.sup.-, I.sub.3.sup.-, NH.sub.3, NR.sub.3, RCOO.sup.-, RSO.sub.3.sup.-, RSO.sub.4.sup.-, OH.sup.-, O.sub.2.sup.2-, HOO.sup.-, H.sub.2 O, SH.sup.-, CN.sup.-, OCN.sup.-, and S.sub.4.sup.2- and combinations thereof;R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.

Abstract: A bleaching composition and method of using is provided wherein the composition comprises and effective amount for bleaching of an amido organic peroxyacid whose structure is: ##STR1## wherein R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, M, n, and m are defined in the specification;an effective amount of an oxygen transfer agent having a structure:R.sup.1 R.sup.2 C.dbd.NSO.sub.2 R.sup.3 (IV)wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 are as defined in the specification; and from about 5.0 to 50% by weight of a surfactant. The preferred pH range of the compositions of the invention is from 7 to about 10.

Abstract: The invention relates to bleach compositions containing, as the bleach, a hydrophobic peroxyacid which is sterically bulky, so that the smallest cross-sectional area of the peroxyacid, defined by multiplying together the two smallest dimensions of the molecule, is from 30 to 80 .ANG..sup.2. Preferred are peroxyacids containing a tertiary alkyl group, a norbornane ring or an adamantone ring. Such peroxyacids are effective for the bleaching of stains, especially hydrophobic stains, with low accompanying dye damage.

Abstract: A stable homogeneous liquid detergent composition based on sodium potassium tripolyphosphate, which is either formed in situ or preneutralized, and ortho- or pyrophosphates is described. The composition contains sodium and potassium ions in a K.sup.+ /Na.sup.+ weight ratio of about 0.5 to less than about 1.5, and contains no added alkali silicate.

Abstract: An arrangement for stowing releasable end effectors for manipulator arms wherein the end effector includes a releasable latch mechanism for connecting the end effector to the manipulator arm, and a storage holder is provided which includes an arrangement for actuating the latch mechanism as the end effector is moved into and out of the holder by the action of the manipulator arm.
