  • Publication number: 20120146536
Abstract: An LED lighting system has a constant AC current source, a circuit loop and a plurality of light emitting diodes in the circuit loop. The constant AC current source eliminates the need for integrated circuits and other circuit components that can fail or be damaged in a light fixture, particularly an outdoor, landscape lighting fixture. The LED lighting system preferably contains a current transformer and/or a full wave bridge rectifier to maximize the number of LEDs in a lighting system—and/or a voltage clamping circuit to minimize the chance of run-away voltage.

  • Patent number: 6586915
Abstract: A power control system and method of power control, the system consists of a power transformer having a primary portion and a secondary portion and a wiring run having a length and coupled at one end to the secondary portion. Also included is a constant voltage controller coupled to another end of the wiring run. The constant voltage controller receives an input power signal from the power transformer and outputs an output power signal at a specified voltage level to a plurality of low voltage electrical loads. The input power signal is at a higher voltage level than the specified voltage level and the output power signal is maintained at the specified voltage level regardless of a change in a voltage drop of the power control system. In preferred embodiments, the system uses low power logic rectifiers to rectify AC power signals to provide reset, current feedback and voltage feedback signals.

  • Patent number: 4799526
Abstract: A blind having an interior side and an exterior side and having a plurality of elongated slats is disclosed. The slats are made of a flexible and generally resilient polycarbonate material having selected light-transmitting qualities and superior optical clarity. Each slat has a generally V-shaped transverse cross-sectional configuration in which a first portion and a second portion of the slat correspond to the two sides of the V, intersecting at an angle of 90.degree. to 160.degree.. The slats are suspended in parallel relation, the slats being rotatable about their longitudinal axes between an inwardly facing position, in which the upper surfaces of the slats are presented at the interior side of the blind with the first portions of the slats substantially co-planar, and an outwardly facing portion, in which the upper surfaces are presented at the exterior side of the blind and the second portions of the slats are substantially co-planar.

  • Patent number: 3942593
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a mobile well drilling rig apparatus adapted for rapid assembly and disassembly thereof. The drilling rigs of the invention comprise a trailerable telescoping mast assembly and a separate sectionable substructure assembly therefor comprising a rig base, a working floor mounted in spaced relation above the base and a rig base extension extending outwardly from the drawworks side of the rig base. In a preferred embodiment, rail means defining a mastway are provided between the erected working floor and the rig base extension. The base mast section of the telescoping mast assembly is provided with cooperative mast roller means whereby the base of the mast structure is readily conveyed to the working floor and whereby the drawworks side mast legs are engaged into a trunnion arrangement therefor. Means are also provided for raising of the mast structure to the vertical from the drawworks side of the rig.
