  • Patent number: 11946633
Abstract: Lighting apparatus for high pressure underwater use are disclosed. In one embodiment the lighting apparatus comprises a housing for withstanding ambient exterior pressure at a depth of approximately 500 feet or more, a transparent pressure bearing window positioned at a forward end of the housing, and a multilayered stack for bearing substantially all of the loading applied to the transparent pressure bearing window at a depth of approximately 500 feet or more disposed in the housing behind the transparent pressure bearing window is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5406472
Abstract: A multi-lane controller providing redundancy comprises two lanes. Each lane comprises an input/output interface, a data flow controller and a control data processor. Each data flow controller receives input data from and supplies output data to both input/output interfaces. The information exchange between each lane does not rely on the proper operation of either the control data processor or data flow controller of any of the lanes.

  • Patent number: 4961312
Abstract: The present invention dicloses means and method for modulating the bypass flow in a mixed flow, variable cycle gas turbine engine. The engine includes means to vary the bypass flow and includes an augmentor and liner with coolant supplied by a portion of the bypass flow. The bypass flow pressure is modulated by sensing the pressure of the liner coolant and the pressure in the augmentor and varying the flow pressure as a function of P.sub.1, P.sub.2, or both.
