  • Patent number: 5590503
Abstract: A panel to be applied to a building comprises a structural support and a concrete wythe located on one side of the support. Brackets are used to attach the wythe to the support, at least one of which permits relative sliding movement between the wythe and support. The one bracket is formed from a pair of overlapping members, one of secured to the wythe and the other of which is secured to the support. The overlapping members are dimensioned to allow relative sliding movement in the plane of the support.

  • Patent number: 5118060
Abstract: An adjustable support bracket assembly is described for supporting a building wallpanel or other heavy article on a vertical support structure, e.g. a column. The assembly includes a pivot pin which is fixed to the vertical support structure, e.g. welded to an inner edge face of a column with a portion of the pin projecting laterally beyond an edge of the column. A substantially horizontal support member is pivotally supported at the inner end thereof on the pivot pin and has a load bearing portion extending outwardly beyond the outer edge of the vertical support structure. This horizontal support member also includes a pivot arm portion projecting upwardly or downwardly from the horizontal portion and having a threaded hole in the pivot are portion remote from the horizontal portion. A threaded bolt is mounted in the threaded hole of the pivot arm and this bolt is adapted to engage the vertical support structure, e.g.

  • Patent number: 4989382
Abstract: A connector assembly is described for concrete structural elements, such as concrete crypt modules for mausoleum structures. The connector assembly includes a top corner member connectable to a concrete structural element with a horizontal top plate extending along the top of the structural element and a vertical edge plate extending down one side of the structural element. The vertical edge plate has an inwardly stepped portion extending downwardly from the top of the structural element and terminating in a horizontal shelf portion and the horizontal top plate has a recess adapted to extend into the concrete. One edge of the recess and the top end of the vertical edge plate have opposed interlock projections. The assembly also includes an interlock plate means having projections for engaging the opposed interlock projections and one edge of the plate means has a downwardly projecting flange terminating above the corner member shelf portion.

  • Patent number: 4922676
Abstract: A closure and seal assembly is described for joining the edges of concrete structural panels. The arrangement comprises three main components, namely a pair of elongated pocket members each adapted to be embedded in a vertical corner of a concrete structural panel and an elongated spline member adapted to connect between the pocket members. Each pocket member has an inner pocket with an elongated opening slot and a pair of resilient sealing strips fixed to the edges of the slot and adapted to extend into the pocket. The spline has a web portion with T-flanges on the side edges thereof with the spline being adapted to be snugly held between the pocket sealing strips and the T-flanges being adapted to be held within the pockets.
